I expect some butt-hurt people whining about how their 660 is not on par with next gen console graphics.

I seriously expect it to take until Maxwell and Volcanic Islands are released for mid-range cards to really produce "next-gen" graphics.

Hardware isn't the problem, it's the software.  Current cards like the 660 are capable of "next gen" graphics, the problem is that next gen games with next gen engines need to actually come out.

Both games had awful combat (and pretty bad character development, too).  Hopefully the the third time's the charm. I've always wanted to like the Witcher games more than I actually have. I've said it before but I think I like CDPR the company more than I've liked their games.

Here's hoping part 3 reverses the trend and the game is actually on par with the company producing it.

They need to take some inspiration (copy) from Batman AA/AC and Dark Souls.  Those are probably the two best recent melee combat systems imo.  TW2 was a slight improvement over the first game but still left a lot to be desired.

Also, premium is $15 atm.  Worth it, or just save the money for BF4?

[QUOTE="FelipeInside"][QUOTE="IxX3xil3d0n3XxI"]Was looking into it. Looks like the game has a ton of lore and backstory. The devs really like the setting and character pouring so much life into it. However, one glaring flaw keeping me from buying it is from what I heard there is no New Game +. Yea so imagine if Diablo just ended after the last act, roll credits game over. IxX3xil3d0n3XxI

???? The game has 4 Chapters that take about 10-15hrs depending on gamestyle. This game is the first in a trilogy.

All ARPG games are pretty much required to have a new game plus. It just feels like a waste without it. Look at Torchlight 2 it was around same price and the new game plus adds tons more replayability.

I don't think it's necessarily a requirement, if you enjoy the game you can always go back and start with a new build/class.  That said, NG+ is always a nice option to have though.

As a primarily PC gamer I don't really care about the next gen wars too much, but the reveal has certainly killed what small amount of enthusiasm I did have for the next Xbox system.  I'll reserve final judgement on both systems until we get closer to release and have more details and have seen more gameplay in action, but as it stands, the PS4 is clearly the next gen console of choice for actual gamers.  Xbox One so far seems like the brain child of a bunch of suits with zero interest in gaming to try and appeal to the lowest common denominator while strcitly focusing on the bottom line.

Started playing Fallout:New Vegas

ierKRLmpkujEQ.jpg

Unlike fallout 3,this game gives off very happy vibes.Fallout 3 had this depressing atmosphere, the story, the enclave, super mutants, slavery etc.

I haven't played nv much,so I may be wrong. But it just...fails to nail the feeling of desperation that a fallout game should have. The environments are kind of bland too.

And ffs FIX the forums, gamespot!!Its 2013,NO ONE in the world uses  800x600 monitors!!!

Just wait until you encounter the legion.  NV did an excellent job of capturing the old school Fallout feel while also incorporating aspects of Fallout 3 (aside from the engine and gameplay).  I've recently started playing it again myself with mods.  Have two characters i'm messing around with; one is a charming, intelligent resourceful leader that has little in the way of combat skills himself but has a band of 6 followers, and the other is a melee/unarmed/explosives wielding maniac.

Artorias faces the abyss!  Probably gonna take a break from Dark Souls for awhile now, maybe pick it up again once the sequel draws nearer.

- Basically one decision at the end of Act 1 decides the outcome of your game

Emraldo

I think you're downplaying this quite a bit.  That decision at the end of Act 1 has a huge impact on the rest of the game.  You get two very different playthroughs depending on how you choose.

Also, it's been awhile, but I don't remember any big game altering decisions in TW1.  I guess you could argue that there's a greater collection of minor choices that slightly afffect the story and endings one of three ways.

I'd like to see some changes to combat, at least in multiplayer, to make it a bit more competitive and diverse, rather than just be about fishing for backstabs.  I'd honestly like to see backstabs removed entirely, in both pve and pvp; or only able to be executed with a small, select group of weapons where there's some sort of trade off ie less range and lower normal damage for the ability to backstab and increased critical damage.  Would also like to see some practical/functional uses for dual-wielding as well.
