What the Vita "needs" is for Sony to cut out the whole region bullshit and start streamlining the process of game buying.
I want to buy a game, like Persona 2 Eternal Punishment or Jeanne d`Arc. I look it up online, I find it on the PSN, wonderful. I go on my Vita and it isn't on the PSN... Now I have to spend 30 minutes on Google to find out if this is because of region issues, do I need to get it via the PS3 or was it just removed because Sony are assholes and don't want my money...
I love my Vita and I've been spending A LOT of time on it, I don't regret buying it, but I can't recommend it to anyone while half the games that are supposed to be available are not purchasable for whatever bullshit reason.
I loved FFXI but I'm never getting into another MMO, like, ever. Not only is the monthly fee enough to buy 2 games on Steam's sales every month but it is such a time sink. If I were in high school I'd be all over this, but I'm not, so I'll have to lean back and wait for Square to start making 'real' Final Fantasy games again.
@WolfGrey @Ophenix1 There is a difference between a sexualization and power-fantasy. You can look it up if you don't know it. In Dragon's Crown women are sexualized and objectified (http://i.imgur.com/M4HlV1x.jpg) while men are made into power-fantasies (http://www.rpgfan.com/pics/Dragons_Crown/ss-028.jpg).
I know the difference is confusing but try and look at the image (which were both from the first 2 rows when you google Dragon's Crown, I didn't even have to cherry pick).
Now if the men were also drawn like this: http://img.gawkerassets.com/img/18w9b4zrurnnygif/ku-xlarge.gif Then you have had a point.
I've read some of the comments and was stunned at the sheer volume of misguided hate towards the reviewer.
A reviewer is supposed to match a game to an audience through the reivew. People who are offended by misogyny should stay away from games like that. This is why her review makes sense, it matches an audience to the game.
I'm not going to buy GTA because I find crap like "Smell like a bitch" offensive. I also didn't bother with Dragon's Crown for the same reason. From my point of view Caroline did her job well.
@Karjah @olikuk @ShinoRagnar This makes all characters identical. Every Barbarian is the same and every Witch Doctor is the same. A large segment of the D2 fan-base loved to rework builds and change specs, play once as a bow Amazon and a second time as a Lance one.
This is now lost and any desire to replay the came with a character you like is gone as well.
@Dragorro Honest? I'm more pissed off about the fact the console version will have no RHAH and a dodge button. D3 on the consoles will be like Bastion while the PC fanboys get the fee-to-pay version.
