Some of the leaked footage looked to be using developer tools (i.e. a PS4 dev kit?). I'm not well informed on any of these sorta things, but it seems like Sony and ND are trying to save face.
To be honest, it doesn't matter who leaked it, damage is done. I personally am going to wait on this one till it's on sale. Watching the hour of leaked footage, the game-play, it feels too close to the original, nothing new brought to the table. The game 'looks' amazing as far as graphics are concerned, but let's wait for impressions by trusted reviewers.
@Mogan: Considering ALL the graphic media for the game on every website and blog is of the two women embracing, I would agree that it's to make a statement. I wouldn't say it's a political statement, it's more so cringy virtue signaling.
I'm sure most every public company in the US doesn't have a problem with any sexual proclivities of their consumers. In fact, most companies are terrified of being labeled misogynistic, sexists, homophobic, racist etc. This was a blatant "Look at how progressive, diverse and inclusive we are!"
Now, all we need is Capcom to come out with a "Poison" game with the tagline "LGBT inclusive since 1989".
@Xristophoros: The kissing made me feel uncomfortable as did the gratuitous violence. It's okay for people to have different values. Just because some of us feel showing two women kissing in a video game trailer to be agenda driven, doesn't mean we're ignorant. I can feel however I want.
I'm sorry to break the news, but not everyone alive on planet Earth has the same views or personal standards. Just because some people don't agree with the cookie-cutter views of your inclusive and diverse liberal media, it doesn't make them ignorant. It makes them an individual. Just because there's this big push for inclusivity in games right now doesn't mean everyone agrees it should be in our games. People are still allowed to have their opinions.
lonesamurai1 was only pointing something out that many of us cringed at. It's easy to call someone ignorant, yet you are judging someone without any context or facts, which actually makes you the ignorant one.
I think this game looks so great! I love the fact that the trailers are confusing so many people. At least it's different and creative. I feel like its been forever since we've seen something fresh.
Why does this even matter? Movies like Star Wars used to be about escaping our reality. I don't care what a character's sexual preference is. I just want a good story without having it be ruined by all this political correctness, inclusion, diversity, or whatever buzzword is used these days to make good and honest hard working people cringe.
Now can we get a voice actor who sounds like an Italian plumber from Brooklyn instead of the cringy Italian Mickey Mouse we have to suffer listening to??? Please!!
