Right. Because shooting someone in the toe with a Kolibri and getting a kill for it takes a lot of skill. Also, have fun getting bombed, gassed, ran over, blown up with grenades, and shot and teabagged by your team mates.

I actually really like the design of it. it's simple and functional looking which I like. Some people say it looks like a Betamax player...that's extra points in my book for retro coolness ;)

Funny how people are hating on the graphics and other shit, especially considering we're watching a streaming video, regardless of whether or not it says "HD" quality. It's amazing how much pissing into the wind I've seen lately from PS4 fans trying to get X1 people to regret their pre-orders or whatever, bashing all Xbox games. The fact is, the PS4 is a decent machine. It has a lot going for it. Personally, I think the X1 is better, but nobody cares about my opinion right? And you shouldn't. The simple fact is, the PS4 doesn't have any games worth buying right now. The only decent games it has are multiplats. I don't give a lick about Killzone, Knack, or any of the other launch titles they have. Forza, Ryse, Titanfall, Killer Instinct...those are interesting to me. Be happy with what you decided to get and enjoy your gaming console of choice. I'll enjoy my Betamax-shaped Xbone with my NSA Spy Kinect Device and all the other goodies that come with it. You enjoy your parallelogram PS4 and having to wait an indeterminate amount of time for DLNA and MP3 support to get patched in.

Been playing Dark Souls for the longest time now, but I got the Platinum for that game on PS3 and decided to go back to good ol' Skyrim once I heard about the Dragonborn DLC. I never did get a chance to play any of the others either, so I just bought all three of them. So far, I've only been able to get into a little of Hearthfire, but even that expansion, which I have read a lot of people don't like, is great in my opinion.

These new additions in the Dragonborn DLC sound really good to me. I understand mods that do the same thing have been out on PC for quite some time now, and modding, for a lot of people, extends the life of the game. Personally, I'm not really into mods for games like this as I like to experience the content how it was made to be played, though I have seen some novel things that looked funny or fun to play. But like I said, it is great for many people and allows PC users to get even more time out of the game for their money.

What I don't understand is the hate for console players like myself. I have Skyrim for my 360 and love it. I enjoy sitting on the couch with my Turtle Beach's on and relaxing while enjoying the storyline instead of having to sit in my computer chair. The argument of hooking a PC up to a TV and playing wirelessly could be made, but to me it's not the same. On top of that, being a college student means that I don't have a whole heck of a lot of money to throw into a decent gaming computer, so console gaming has become the norm for me in the past few years.

To each his own I guess. Personally, the money was well spent for me and I will continue to enjoy the content for another 200+ hours like I have already.

The same people whining about the price are probably the same people who spend $15 every few months for garbage CoD map "expansions". As far as it not being as good as the PC version, that's completely subjective. Sure, I favor a mouse and keyboard over the controller, but the 360 version makes it much easier to play with friends without setting up a server and I also like the crafting system as well, despite some people saying it takes the "mystery" out of crafting. What mystery? Most people that don't have the recipes memorized (like myself) have the Wiki open most of the time anyway. All these arguments are moot. If you don't like it, don't buy it.

Consoles on the other hand are a different story. If I want to relax on my couch or recliner with a beer on the table next to me and play through an action/adventure type game like Zelda or Uncharted, I'd rather do it on a console. I feel consoles are better, at least for me, for these kinds of games. Also, excluding a racing wheel, I feel racing games benefit more from an actual D-pad and buttons than playing with a keyboard and directional keys. The big plus for consoles as well is that, although they can still be hacked, I don't feel it is as prevalent on the console as it is on the PC. The downside to console gaming is that they are far less customizable than PC's, so modding and the like is not really possible (there are exceptions of course). In the end, I play both, and I enjoy both. There are times when one is more appropriate than the other. Everyone has their preferences, but you have to acknowledge that each has its strengths and weaknesses in some aspect or another.

Good article, and a lot of you are making good points. I have been and always will be a PC gamer at heart, but I haven't played many new titles on the PC in a while (save for Minecraft). I play a lot of older games, like Doom, because I still find them fun. This is due partly to the fact that I have an almost 6 year old machine, so some newer games just won't run correctly on it. In the end though, I play both PC and console. As far as PC vs Console goes, I don't think either one will die off. They both have their specific markets and fans, and I feel each is better at certain aspects. When I want to play a strategy game, an MMO, something like Minecraft, or a shooter (although FPS can be fun on console too), I prefer to play on a PC. In the PC world, generally speaking, you have support for more players, and if you have a good rig, the graphics will look better (although this is just a bonus to me...the gameplay must come first). Modding, IMO, also extends the life of some games and keeps them fun long after they have been released. One negative aspect I would have to attribute to PC's is that to play a lot of newer games you have to upgrade hardware if you want peak performance. But if you don't mind lowering the settings a bit you can still play most new things.
