@Ballroompirate: Collector's Edition is available for all platforms. I got it for PC. It's $95.99 on Amazon with Prime, $119.99 without Prime.

If I had any complaints with the game, I would probably say something similar. The super shotgun especially feels underpowered. The movement isn't quite as fast as the old games either, but that doesn't bother me as much as the durability of some of the enemies. I also felt like the plasma rifle was kind of pointless. However I really do think that the game looks fun, and it definitely has potential. There's a lot that can change from now until the game comes out, so I'm hopeful for the best.
Ouch, such console hate lol
I wouldn't get rid of my PC or my PS4. There are too many games coming out for both that I want.
If I didn't have the PC hardware to run it, I'd be totally ok getting it on my PS4, but for a game like this I'd prefer to have the feel of they keyboard and mouse. Plus, if this game ends up having any kind of modding fanbase like Doom 1 and 2 does, a "Brutal Doom" version of this game could be very interesting.
If you are getting the game, which system are you getting it for and why?
Doom has always been a PC experience for me, but I wasn't able to get into the PC beta when it was out. I did get into it on my PS4 however and had a great time with it and think that people getting it on console will still be pleased.
You must not live in the US then, because it came out today here.
I'd love to explain it to you, but unfortunately the copy I got in the mail today that I pre-ordered from Amazon was the Standard Edition and I was supposed to have the Collector's Edition, so I have to wait for it to get there, get a return, and then have them ship me the correct version first.
I actually had this on pre-order but I cancelled that and pre-ordered Dark Souls for my PS3 instead. I did that before the Beta was released but honestly I think I made the right decision now. I am going to wait for the full release of the game first and see how that fares. I think the colors are too cartoon-like. Granted some of this may change with the full release, I'm not expecting much since the release date is only a few weeks away.
Looks like it's shaping up nicely. I will still be getting it for PS3 since I have the first one but I'm glad to see Xbox users will be able to get in on the fun as well and experience this awesome game world.
