SFIV is the best fighting game this gen. Its the most polished and the most fun. The graphics style is a breath of fresh air. Its easy enough to encourage new players while deep enough to satisfy hardcore fighters. Well done Capcom.
For the record I think the Gamecube was awesome, totally underrated and superior to the N64. The Wavebird set the stage for all of our current-gen controllers. I can't say it was better then the PS2, and I think it was slightly better then the X-box. In my opinion, innovation and superior graphics > x-box live and built-in hard disk, but x-box definitely pushed the envelope. All-in-all it was an awesome gen for consoles, far better then the saturn-ps1-n64 gen.
Anyone else hear or read about this?

Can't decide if its cool or too cheap looking.
Nintendo giving up hardware, will focus only on games for Sony and Microsoft. Considering how many Wii's and Ds's they've sold, this would melt Gamespot's servers with traffic.
Who cares about the past games, judge the last game of the series on its own merit. Mario Party on the Wii was a great game...great motion controls, the boards were original and engaging (I really liked the train). All they need to do to make this game a top seller is add online. Im sure a new Mario Party will come out and ill be excited.
Atari 2600, NES, PlayStation, Wii.
Thats it, so far.

This is 100% accurate. Now out of those four, I believe NES is the most influencial. I think the Playstation's influence (cd-rom based games, adult market) was an inevitable stop in video games' evolution. The Wii is too young to tell its lasting influence. And the 2600 never reached as many people or created as many franchises as the NES.
