2-player splitscreen has been confirmed for PS4, I'm assuming the same holds for XBONE. This has given me pause, I was for sure gonna get it for PC but some of my fondest gaming moments can be traced back to the PS2, a buddy and Battlefront 1 and 2. Good times.

@Vodoo: I think I must be going dumb, but how in the world do I remove the runes? The only thing I can figure is equipping really bad ones xD.
@jaroondee: Like Vodoo mentioned, another thing is to not have any runes on the weapons. For the sake of feeling some kind of progression, I do use some runes that make me hit harder (so I feel more powerful), but nothing that enhances health or survivability directly, still making me squishy.
I'm in the second zone of the game right now, and with no upgrade to my health and only low level runes on my weapons (combined with the lack of Combat Prompts), running balls to the walls into one of the big strongholds lands me in a heap of trouble (usually ends in death if I just stay and fight it out while the orcs keep coming at me).
@Darkwand3r3r: The warchiefs don't seem to partake in the power struggle events (at least not in the first act), så yeah, the only way they increase in power is if they kill you or happen to be nearby when you die. I've had several bodyguards of warchiefs be of higher power levels than the chiefs themselves. Which does seem a bit off. Hopefully it pans out better later in the game, when you get to dominate and such.
Rofl, fighting without combat prompts in a thunderstorm at night was a real challenge, could barely see them bastard Uruks.
I also found that NOT upgrading health is completely viable, some tougher enemies (like elite warchiefs and stuff) can kill you in two strikes, which makes it feel like more of an achievement to bring one down.
Hello.
TL;DR: Go into Game Options, disable combat prompts, enjoy!
As many others have noted, the game is ridiculously easy. I plunged into the game, and with only one or two upgrades, plowed my way through the kill 50 orcs challenge, fought and defeated 3 captains at the same time, all with barely breaking a sweat. The only time I have any kind of trouble is when being jumped by a pack of caragors.
I realised that a big part of my breezing through the game were the big-ass triangles that told me when to counter. I went into the options menu, and sure enough, they can be disabled in Game Options (in the top few settings). This causes me to have to pay a LOT more attention to my surroundings, especially when fighting 10+ Uruks. It's still not hard, per se, but I can't just sit back and watch the action unfold in the same way as I did with combat prompts enabled. I'm much more on edge, and am enjoying it a lot more.
Also, projectiles are now extremely lethal as there is no way to tell when someone is about to fire on you. As it should be.
Hope this helps someone!
Drive Club, Shadow of Mordor and Destiny for me. Although I may get Shadow of Mordor for PC.
I just had this happen with my PS3...
It looks very much like a Wii. I prefer the black one.
As stencilnyc said. Plasmas haven't had burn-in issues for years. I don't really see this as a problem.
Maybe he has an old plasma. Although it's a bit of a stretch to assume a plasma which is old enough to suffer from burn-in would've survived up 'til now.
