Imo...the mechanics of the game are nearly perfect in terms of playability....the random drops are a bit crazy but have definitely improved over the past few weeks. The story, even with "The Dark Below" coming out, still only makes as much sense as the quote I chose from the game. Ah well, maybe that "great battle" that no one wants to tell us about will eventually fall into light.
I have not played this yet and I am certainly not going to let a review keep me from enjoying a decent Alien game, however, for those of you bashing on KVO...look at other websites...IGN gave it a 5.9 and they are usually pretty generous when it comes to scoring....I'd say KVO is probably not far off the mark based on all of the reviews I have read. It's a step in the right direction, and blows Colonial Marines out of the water so I am sold...
@GSJones1994 I have made this argument in other forums, however, I don't think it entirely holds water. The WiiU's lack of sales up to this point is due to poor marketing among other things. I know plenty of people who don't even know what the WiiU is, nor do they know that Nintendo even released a new console to begin with...
@greenpolyp You must have really high standards then...also, I'm still unsure how you can compare the WiiU to two "Next Gen" consoles that haven't even released yet. Also, there hasn't been a "Next Gen" Mario title for the WiiU yet...maybe they are trying to figure out a way to repackage him and make him appeal to the masses again?
I for one will remain hopeful that this console gains some leverage. I don't feel Nintendo dropped the ball in designing this console, they are however dropping the ball without expanding its core game content library...which I have admitted above. If and when the games come, the console will move along just fine...so far they are off to a great start with Pikmin 3 and The Wonderful 101. Are they the games I asked for with this console? No, but they are two nice additions to what could be a hopeful future for this console and Nintendo...
Hate em or love em, they've been here a very long time and have had no problem getting people like myself to fall in love with their nostalgia all over again.

@racerxgundam First of all, you don't have to insult me because I don't know the full "business background" of the reasons that Square and other companies alike jumped ship. Also, if you read my other posts in this forum, you'll see me highlight some of what you mentioned above. As for your Wikipedia accusations, they are entirely false. I own all systems back to the NES (including portables) and I the introduction of the CD-rom in console gaming, changed everything. I always had thought that Square started developing for the Sony Playstation because of their ability to produce detailed fmvs...I was curious about it and lightly researched it years ago and formulated my own opinion on the few facts that I had found. Sony has redefined gaming twice since they first showed up in console gaming and all of the competition stubbornly went against their ideas and lost. The Blu-Ray tech for example would be a big one...as many of my friends wasted money on the HD-DVD player attachment ..one of the few components that I never purchased as I knew it was a waste of money from the get go. Also, your comment about respectable libraries once again imo is debatable. I can think of 20 games on the Wii that I personally loved...just because you or others don't share that same love doesn't mean that the console was bad. Also, I obviously misunderstood what you were getting at, otherwise I wouldn't have went off on a useless tangent about what Nintendo used to be with the N64, Gamecube, and Wii. Tbh...I'm trying not to repeat myself as I continue to elaborate on why I think Nintendo's latest console will be fine. Even if you're right, it still makes sense to me that Squaresoft made the switch because the Playstation was better equipped for what they wanted to achieve. I also mentioned in another comment, that Nintendo probably fowled up their 3rd party relationship at some point between the n64 and Gamecube...your reply to me, could easily be a defining post for this entire thread...minus the fact that you leave that one little trolling part at the end ">wii u," which makes someone like myself pass you off as some immature person who is just here to irritate those who have no problem with Nintendo as a company, or their precious Wii U...
Besides, it is obvious where Nintendo's primary focus has been in the past few years...they dominate the portable market and that at this point in time is their bread and butter. Why don't we talk about the jrpgs/rpgs that were on their GBC or GBA when all of that happened. All kinds of arguments can be made as to why Nintendo isn't appealing to people like yourself lately.
@19James89 That's not cool, they should have sent a box with the shipping label inside...that's what Microsoft used to do anyway....I would definitely be trying for some extra points if that is the case...
