Lol bandarman just look at the shadows on COD4's characters face...you gonna tell me the 360 has done a better job! Even the dirt caked up on the streets near the side walks is more detailed on PS3. But honestly im not here to argue, truth be told both GPU's have the same capability to produce the same images. It's just the performance of such moving images is in where one can come out on top of the other. (buy an 7 series Nvidia GPU and compare the visuals on Crysis to a 9 series and you'll see the same images only with much better frame rate's) So ya see it's not so much how it looks as so how it performs this gen cuz the PC industry before has favored certain GFX vendors over others causing serious performance decreases with certain pc titles. & Makaatsu where exactly has it been proven that GTA4 360 has higher frame rates then the PS3 let alone no slowdowns! I was just looking at some forums with 360 GTA4 owners complaining of slowdowns and pop-ups! From the comparison videos i've seen the PS3 is in fact the one with most consistent frame rate and fewer pop-ups albeit both version are capped at 30fps and both have had their share of game freezes. All in all if you're content with the visual style, online features, story/characters ect of either systems exclusives then good for you. You shouldn't have anything to fear from the other sides camp except the usual biased reviews and maybe a game of the year award which is understandable.

Stumpy the game looks just like Farcry whilst set on low settings only with farther draw distances as well as more "polygons" as Crysis devs have commented! Another thing worht mentioning is the memory, from what i've seen this Corsair XMS mem is only pc6400 dual channel but what about pc8000-8500! For those with 8800GTS 320mb it should be a no brainer why you're performance is so low with "said" screen resolution regardless of drivers! I could go on on how consoles make better/different use of memory sizes then pc but I won't. I'll just simply say that at such high resolution, on a PC's gfx card it needs as much ram as possible to maintain high FPS. If ur gaming monitor is smaller then 24 inches just set it to 1152x864 (equiv) resolution for better speed. With such a small monitor you don't need anything over 720p specially if its gonna sacrifice that much quality or speed. And finally anyone looking for DX10 vs. DX9 answers should look here, http://www.dailytech.com/article.aspx?newsid=9656 in other words Crysis on XP is your all around best bet.

Market cap aint their cash on hand! At best with the recent price hike all they can do is sell their shares while its still high to do anything with the stocks surge! Whenever that happens exec's pocket that $$$ since its literally their shares they own themselves not the "companies"! Nintendo could be worth 500 billion market cap but that don't mean their actual sales are that let alone that they have 500billion worth of purchasing power! This is merely what the investors think the company is worth based off of demand. Whoever seriously thinks 11 sumthing million Wii sales and 40-50 million DS sales are netting Nintendo 85 billion is insane! But like Dragonseer stated once the bubble bust it will hit hard and I bet anything Nintendo execs know this and are trying to liquidate their stock after witch they'll probably be fired or quite since that doesn't look good to all the other shareholders who were suckers and bought while it was high! In many ways this is alot like an IPO such as when BAIDU got launched and they were touted as the Chinese google! After the 1st q report it was impossible for them to outperform the market as they were a new comp and naturally their stock dropped like a rock which is what these analyst are saying about NTDOY! If Nintendo don't start getting those killer apps out like 360, PC, and PS3 are those Wii sales will slow as nintendo often does. Remember the N64 actually sold more units then the Gamecube and the SNES even more then the N64! Nintendo's strategy for 1st party dev support is best in market for getting high initial sale right after launch but their 3rd party support has gotten smaller with each new console resulting in weak sales.

I don't really see this high ass price effecting the pal markets as we Americans think. Sure $800-1000 is alot for US to pay for a PS3 but since it's adjusted to theri markets the price hike is probally the same for what we pay for (PS2 $300, PS3 $5/600) Also many of those pal territory's make a fraction of what we make here in America so the little gamer community they have are the REAL Hardcore gamers beit Sony or MS...,they have no casual gamer that makes up the masses! So considering the ammount of games that DIDN'T make it to PAL territory's it's probally won't make a difference to them over there about the emulation thingy. Plus Sony may have re-allocated it's console shipments to the US to keep us supplied throught the summer with more 360 threat games on the way! America is Sony's biggest market and still the casuals here haven't decided yet which to get so nothing can be said about Sony's demise/success until at least Spring 09!

Only thing i've got to say is that im exceptionally pissed at 360's hardware. I mean come on it's damn near a year later and their consoles continue to brake randomly without any PR announcements! I mean what seems to be the problem is it 1st party, 3rd party, what? All I can say is that the PS3 better not have as many defects as the 360 or I may buy neither until 2008!

I think it's safe to say that a large part in ATI's lack of performance (even with 400mhz more and 24 extra pixel pipes) is that most games aren't run on pixles shaders alone! Devs get to "turn the dial" when making games as to which game will utilize higher res textures and which will use more pixel shaders! So in a game like Half Life 2 it's natural that the 7900 with it's 24 texture units should be able to keep up with the 1950's 16! In other words that 2000mhz and 48 pipes only helps to close the gap, unless when rendering a shader intensive game like the Doom 3 engine, Cryengine 2, Rainbow Six LV, GRAW, or basically games that use way to much shimmer and shine on models!

Yeah just about every great game creator has played with the Uncanny Valley rules abit. An example is Splinter Cell. They used motion capture on all the characters in the game except for Sam Fisher, which were all hand animated. This gave Sam a much more fluid movement and gave us the "player" a since of supperiority over the AI characters of the game! Even recently (before E3) Hideo Kojima talked about how they could really push the PS3 to make Snake look real in MGS4. Yet they choose to use textures and shaders that still convey a videogame. Kojima claimed that making them to realistic would make the game "boring", I think he was mentioning the Uncanny Valley! This is what makes Heavy Rain so interesting/innovative, graphically it shoots for realism. As well as the intense dialogue that draws you in, it's not until she go's all psycho that people "subconsciously" begin to really dislike this game because it throws you a curve ball your mind was not expecting. (her sociopathic behavior doesn't match her symetrical face) If this were a real movie with a real actress it would get an Academy Award. But because it's a game that we know is not real our expectation change & like others here have said we begin to instinctivley FEAR & HATE what we see.
