It should sorta go away as you grow older. That's what's happening with me, at least.. or maybe it's becuase I've been doing customer service jobs for a while.sinistergoggles

Yea I've noticed that's helped me a lot.. jobs that involve helping people. I caught myself small talking with a stranger yesterday outside of work.. I didn't even realize I was doing.. it's usually so out of my norm.

Its really hard for me to understand how shy people can't just not be shy. Im pretty confident (But not so much im an *sshole) and ilife alot. People who are shy and dont want to me make me wanna just go 'BEEEE CONFIIDEENTTT' *Rips out hair* Its just natural for me i guess, its hard to imagine having to work for itDevils_Joker_22

I'm confident as hell. You would have no idea I was shy unless you started talking to me. Being shy and being confident are two different things. Sometimes they go hand in hand, but many times they do not. I'm athletic, good looking, carry myself well, etc. I look people in the eye, etc.. I'm shy when it comes to talking.

By the way..

The 1994 FIFA World Cup was held in the United States from June 17 to July 17, 1994. The average attendance for the tournament was 69,000, while the toal attendance was 3.6 million. The 1994 World Cup holds the record for the highest attendance in World Cup history.

I could give a damn about soccer.. I know the names of maybe 3 soccer players worldwide. Maybe. But there are still plenty of fans here in America. It's certianly nowhere near the most popular sport, but there are plenty of fans.

I'm shy too.. I find as I get older, the less shy I am.. even though I'm still shy. It depends on my mood also though.. if I'm feeling really good, I won't be shy.. I'll speak up, say stuff I normally wouldn't, etc. It's a good feeling.

I don't know why he used the words kids and students.. but he was talking about 9/11 obviously.. I don't know why it's such a big deal.. he actually made some very good points in that discussion.. Stop critisizing him for every little speech mistake he does.. it's getting old.

what a heartless bastard? how could he bring himself to steal from an evil multinational corporation? because of his wicked deeds, some stockholders somewhere are going to risk losing out on a fraction of a cent in profits!

in my book, stealing is only seriously wrong when it is from an individual. causing someone emotional anguish is bad. possibly causing corporate executives and stockholders to lose an infinitely insignificant amount of profit is not that bad at all.

maximusmmii

I somewhat agree.. but stealing is stealing.. no matter how "rich" the person or corperation. The corporation is trying to make money just like anybody else.. and when someone steals, it makes prices rise. One person alone won't do it.. but with so many stolen items, it adds up.

[QUOTE="fight-club"]Yeah but Gamespot has to calm down, and take a seat, every minor infraction their flipping out about. The problem are the mods, they are too quick to mod them. If someone makes a quick joke but then gets back on topic they shouldnt be modded. They don't bother to look at the who message board. They just scan for offensive words and don't put any thought into it. foxhound_fox

It's not even about breaking rules.. it's about the rules themselves. Many are way too dumb and nit picky. A lot do not harm anybody or have any real reason.. it's like they are there just for the sake of being there.

There is a simple solution to your problems with the rules here. If you don't like them, you can easily just go where you can be "open" with your discussions.

I've never had a problem with any of the "nit-picky" rules. I tell jokes all the time... I just keep them within the confines of the ToU.

You would be quite surprised at how much work these moderators have to do to keep order here. They volunteer their time to do these things and should be respected for doing so. They are easily the most respectful and easy-going people on this site... of course, as long as you respect them and follow the rules.

Being nice has nothing to do with being strict. I got my message deleted before for this when talking about gay rights, marriage, etc: two dudes exchanging butthole missles has nothing to do with marriage. they can do that without being civily unified

I don't get how that is offensive. I used a different way of describing sexual intercorse.
