What do you think? Should they leave Streets of Rage as it is, or would you like to see a remake for today's consoles, but sticking to the Streets of Rage principles without drastically changing it?NorthernRoses
I think they should leave it as it is, not every series needs to be resurrected.
Old consoles typically used less delicate parts so they're more durable than anything currently on the market. You didn't have YLODs, RROD, ABCDEFGs or whatever happening on the NES or Master System, both of which lasted me over 15 years and probably much longer if I had chose to (physically) keep them. As far as any unbiased source has to say on the subject, the Wii is the most reliable of the three consoles. After all, it wasn't designed to push any limits in terms of non-gaming functionality or graphics and furthermore Nintendo has not only been doing it the longest, but also have more at stake when it comes to market share and general accessibility. ...though personally I wouldn't be caught dead playing one.
