@Suaron_x If you think the next xbox is going to have another RROD fiasco, you are crazy. They learned from that mistake. Cost them a fortune. Not to mention you're looking a bit in the past in order to criticize MS.
@xxYetterxx @ElJefeDeMedios I agree with you, DeMedios. Unless they are offering me something that is free, I see no advantage of all of these subscription-based extras that they are tacking on the xbox. I don't think Silver MP is a good idea, but everything else is definitely true. Focus on games, that's why I bought the damn thing.
@xxYetterxx I wasn't necessarily talking about Tiger Woods. I would probably like the Kinect with that. But I play a lot of NHL 12, and some occasional madden and boxing games, and I just don't can't be jumping around my 2nd story apartment banging on the floor and stuff.
Nope. I want Kinect to stay the hell away from my FPS games, and my sports games for that matter. No thanks. No requirement on Kinect usage in every game. That has the potential to cripple hardcore game development, and at the very least annoy developers.
The first half of the article isn't bad. But Microsoft can't abandon it's core audience, and that is hardcore gamers. I think when they finally announce this thing and give some insight to the power of it, they need it to be a homerun. If I don't say WOW out loud when I see what this thing can do, I'll be disappointed. Make it more powerful than the PS4, and announce it first. There's your winner.
Yea, I think we're ready for next gen. I don't think this generation of consoles is incapable of bigger and better things, but a new console is really the only catalyst that will force Activision to get off their a** and step it up.
MW3 anyone? Talk about hype! Worst investment I think I've ever made, which I guess makes me lucky. But really, spending that much time and money waiting on that game, leaves a real sour taste in your mouth when you realize the company is just pulling your chain the entire time.

I hate this stuff. Its a vicious circle, and I feel as a consumer there is nothing I can do about it. On one hand, you can not get the downloaded content to try to prove a point and make them stop doing it. But unless everyone stops buying it, the companies aren't going to stop doing it. On top of that, if we're talking about multiplayer DLC, not getting the map pack or expansion leaves you in the dust. So all of a sudden, you can't play with your friends or interact with everone online because you don't have the most recent DLC. It sucks. The only other option is to buy the damn thing so you can still enjoy the game, but of course that just opens the floodgates later...Any ideas?
