Not how I recall it. I seem to remember dicing up the wife and child with blind abandon during a village razing in the name of a god I made a blood oath to (on my life for having saved me). A family that didn't seem to much like me. The daughter hid behind her mother in fear and the wife chastised us in anger for the glory sought (for myself) in the name of Sparta. A lust for power and fame becoming a desire for revenge (that I don't deserve) rather than for atonement or forgiveness. This while sating myself with women, wine and more. Classy fellow, I am.
And here's this trailer of Kratos getting sappy. Ridiculous bastardization to make him 'human' when he was a beast from a start. His parentage having something to do with that, I'm sure (gods are like that oftentimes). His upbringing too. Can't say Ares made him that way. He was already like this. Just made him stronger. Same to the other gods. Nevermind the brother nonsense as that wasn't part of GoW1 where all this about him was established (later entries messing with that canon and giving continuity the finger).
All that aside, this is a waste of money. A live action trailer. MP focus. SP swept aside. The drop in quantity and quality unbefitting a case where the same engine is used on the same system. Granted, this is remnants of B-Team for the most part.
Oh? And what of saves? Is this to imply there aren't any this time? Because having infinite saves would sort of diffuse the issue. What of settings? "Hard Core" of DS2 wasn't quite the same as the true VH. What shall it be this time? Another blend between H and VH with a twist?
>class NG+
Of course.
>Survival
>crafting everything
No 'finding' of things already made (scavenging)? *reads on* I see. This is what they refer to with the resource management from before. Not sure how I feel about the system yet. I'd have to work with it more. The Crafting Room of the demo had infinite resources, ammo, HP, stasis, etc.
>additional story DLC
Bah. I'd rather have a proper 'Survival' mode than 'Survivalist' (Crafting). A 'Horde' variant suits me fine.
So long as I can keep doing the No-Gun NUR+, I'm game despite some of the changes made that I don't fancy.
