They'd have had a much better chance for success if RB4 had not been published while only half finished. The game was missing numerous features that had been present as far back as RB1. I've been a longtime HMX supporter but RB4 was a rip-off. It was marketed and priced as a full-fledged AAA game but what was delivered was much more of an Indie game; it should have been priced at $15 to $30. I've heard many people argue that HMX doesn't have the backing of a huge multinational corporation and therefor couldn't afford to make a full-feature game. But you can't have it both ways. You can't market and price at the AAA level while developing at the Indie level.

@Kezzy123: As a big RB fan....it would have been the LAST game I would have thought of for VR. Playing with friends is the core of the RB experience; this removes that core.

@ckenisell: LOL. Love how you make final judgement before either VR device has gone to consumers. LIke you're the final arbiter of what will resonate with public and what will not.

@flipityflu I agree completely. I think it's a terrible trend in the industry that virtually all of a game is promoted / marketed / leaked prior to release of the game. There's virtually no sense of wonder or discovery in gamed today because all the content is known by anyone who isn't unconscious. (I came because I would never play this game and just kinda wanted to see what this might look like).

Not only that, but the video itself is terrible. A bad video montage where someone like me has no idea what's happening and ends up being extremely unimpressed with what I'm seeing.

I see no value whatsoever in releasing this video.

@Jacanuk Yes; it's obvious. Levine was TOLD to close his own studio so he did it.

Folks who proclaim to know everything about something they clearly know nothing are extremely annoying.

@GreenvaleXYZ @MrMan2000 Let's just say you and I disagree. The fact YOU don't play online doesn't mean online capabilities don't matter to many others. The "gimmick" issue is a real one for many of us. And while I don't disagree WiiU has a lot going for it...I don't have the slightest belief that what it has going for it outweighs what it has against it and will prevent it from quickly fading into the console pages of history.

@GreenvaleXYZ @4_Horsemen @MrMan2000 I own an XBOX, X360, PS, PS2, PS3, NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube and Wii. Needless to say, I'm pretty much system agnostic. I like them all to some degree.

But two things. First, I've learned to never buy the launch of any advanced hardware...from game consoles to phones, tablets, etc. Doing so is just paying to be the beta testers.

Second, no game system delivered less value to me than the Wii. The first party games were not compelling to me (though I can understand how others would like them) and the multi-platorm games were wll better on the other systems. AND, the online capabilities and media features of the Wii grossly paled compared to the competition.

All that simply made me even more wary of the WiiU...and I think other hardcore gamers are pretty similar to me in many ways.

@GreenvaleXYZ @MrMan2000 Wow. The games library, inferior online capabilities, gimmicky controls....I "carefully worded" my comments around those things and you choose to completely ignore any of those issues...and then claim it's "100% obvious" that graphics are my problem?

You need to stand up and pull your head out of the ground.

@AzatiS @Vexov I agree.

Most of their first party games are treading well-worn ground that doesn't have the same appeal to youths as it did in the 90's.

Not saying it doesn't appeal.....but these games are basically remakes or updates or long-lived franchises. Kids like things that are of their own generation, that differentiate them from previous generations. Playing a game your dad liked is fun when you're 6....but when you're 10 you kind of want something that is your own.
