I don't think anyone is saying that the game doesnt look good. Most just say that it looks pretty much average - good. I don't know about you guys but I was expecting Halo 3 to be amazing on ALL levels. It just sounds like most gaming sites are MUCH more excited about other games rather than Halo 3. How does a game like Halo 3, which is the most hyped game in the past 3 years, be lost in the crowd of all the other games. Most sites didnt even talk about halo 3 all that much. That shows me they arent all that excited about it.They talkedmore about games like COD4, Killzone 2 and othersuch games.They think it will be good but nothing mind blowing. David at IGNxbox360 thinks its not much better looking than Halo 2.

Maybe because there isn't really much to talk about right now. I mean, basically all they showed to the public was the trailer, which was..good. and then the CLOSED DOOR demo, which they can only really describe to us.

I've been trying to tell people this since the Halo 2 cliffhanger. Now that everyone knows the plot of Halo 3, you notice all the "buh teh Halo 2 cliffhanger" threads have stopped.:wink:

I think I was one of the few that didn't really mind the cliff hanger. It was Halo 1 that got me more like "OMG nao wat happenz!!!1! to teh cheiff" But then the books came and I was happy.

10. Pokemon- Though not so much anymore, I never had a game that made me stay up really late and play, and buy a gameboy...

9. Ninja Giaden- one of the toughest games IMO, and beating it just made it that more awesome.

8. Mario- more specifically Mario 64, It was just plain fun to play when I was younger

7. Goldeneye- It's what got me into FPS's nuf said.

6. Metroid- If I wasn't playing mario or pokemon on the GB, it was her.

5. Twisted Metal- sweet tooth... need I say more?

4. Americas Army- Hell, its a game, and it's free, and I enjoyed itA LOT more than CS. (though after 2.0, it started going downhill)

3. Age of Empires series- some of the best RTS games Ive ever played (III not so much, but still great)

2. Super Smash Bros.- Forget mario party, THIS is the game that all your friends can come over and have a blast playing!

#1.)-----> I get a lot of crap for this, but it is indeed The Halo series. The books are what really got me into the story though, I always thought it wasn't the BEST FPS out there, but it was always the one of the greats IMO, and overall a well rounded game. + MC is baddass, even if a little stale sometimes.

Evolution of what made the series famous. Just like every other franchise out there.

I think changing the gameplay of Halo too much would ruin it, But I'm glad they are ending the story Arc here before it would become too stale.
