Yea, Gears 2 is pretty much the same as Gears 1, just A LOT bigger, and A LOT faster paced. For me, it was a satisfying run through but I probably couldn't go through the campiagn more than twice. A lot of it is really dumb ways to find cover when you need it (ie. a rock snake shuffling around exactly where u need it.; those annoying retractable cover pieces) It all screams to me that Epic was just bored with putting random debris everywhere for cover and tried to do something "creative".

Halo Wars- Honestly I'm kind of a Halo fanboy, but also I'm a big fan of rts and Ensemble is (was) one of my favorites. I really hope their last project is something great.

FEAR 2- This was one of the few games to legitimately scare the **** out of me and here's to another month of being to scared to turn off the lights.

Guild Wars 2- Being sort of an anti- Warcraft and anti- Monthly subscriptions this is kind of my go to MMORPG game so it better at least impress me.

EDIT: Also I'm really looking forward to "I am Alive".- Its survival/post apocolyptic type setting really has me wanting to play this, it seems really different from generic shooters adventure games and such. Plus it takes place in my home city so it will be sort of my preparation for when something completely obliterates Chicago.

yes and just look at how long people have been playing games like basketball or tennis, or soccer... no major innovations within the past 20 years and just look how they are going downhill. relax as long as the games are fun thats all that matters. new games for every generation, but all fundamentally the same, and if they play well people will continue to play

they are very nice no doubt, but if you've hated halo before, theres still no reason for you to like it now. Halo is Halo, for those who in enjoy it then we will be happy, for those who don't.. they will continue to whine and wimper.

Yea, thats all great, but really, the PS3 has no really good games that interest me. Resistance is just boring(lame combat system, weapons make me yawn (though I do have a liking to the shield gun)), Motorstorm is cool for the first hour and a half, (or two if you even try to drive with the sixaxis), and pretty much everything else I can get on 360 for 10 bucks less.

But I dont regret buying a PS3, as even though I hate to say it, I just have to wait... namely MGS4, and maybe a few other good games I come across along the way, like kilzone 2, which seems to be shaping up really nicely.

Not final, can be added, etc.

Online co-op would be nice. I don't get why everyone is all "Pft I don't like teh online coop" ....

_en1gma_

Its a very samll form of damage control, I just think people are making not having online co-op in Halo a bigger deal than it really is. I wonder how many people that bash would even buy the game if it was included?

I don't get the big deal with online co-op, it sucks. Playing crackdown it always lagged when we were to far apart, and in GeoW the other random XBL guy was an idiot. Bringing a friend over and playing via system link or splitscreen is always 100x more fun. Plus I'd take multiplayer over online co-op anyday.
