Stalker has software based Anti-Aliasing instead of using Hardware for it... so it lags you no matter what video card you have if you have AA on, Instead of Turning on AA, just turn up the resolution...

You can build a new PC if you order the parts online for round $300-$500 w/o the video card and add on to that the video card of your choice and get a much better comp than those you buy in stores(online or retail)... If you build it yourself that is... My comp cost me bout $800 bucks: Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 Overclocked to 2.8 GHz ECS Nvidia 650i SLI mobo 1 80 GB hd, 2 160 GB in raid 0 Super-Multi DVD burner 600 Watt power 2 GB OCZ Gold RAM(Paired for Dual Channel) Geforce 8800 gts 320 The great thing is, since I built it myself, I didn't have to buy everything at once. I bought the comp itself first then added on the parts as I could.

SirWrinkles writes too much... But it ain't bad for the money... If you already have a crossfire mobo already then it pays off instead of turning to an SLI motherboard... And it isn't starting at a ridiculous price... Plus the 2700(or 2600 i forget which one) will cost somewhere between 100-200 dollars... which will help bring the competition to the marketplace and drive down the cost of both NVIDIA and ATI

You can get a 7600 for around $100 a 8600 for around $200 newegg.com always has good prices You can also check other online stores... Retail Chains like best buy, compusa, etc. overcharge for the stuff you can get online. Even a 8800 gts goes for 280 + Shipping round 290... lots cheaper than in a store...

Lol bear is such a fanboy...ps3 as a web browser is stupid... That's what a computer is for...and it does it so much better...music player...pc wins...and even the 360 is better at it. PS3 is nice as a movie player...but I prefer 360 for DVDs(I don't care yet about blue-ray or hd-dvd)...friggin buttons on the ps3 are too sensitive...i hate it when someone bumps the controller and skips/rewinds a chapter... I have all the systems...but the games on 360 make the ps3 not really worth it so far... online is so much better on the 360... But actually the 360 has more graphical horsepower than the ps3... ps3 wins in cpu power...so they're pretty much on even ground. And considering the expenses of developing on these systems...many of the games that are for both systems will look and play nearly identically since its cheaper to use the same assets(art work, animations, models, etc.) So more than likely, PS3 will never "rule" totally...I think they're prolly gonna be more evenly matched, but the 360,having a headstart will make it so that it will almost always be in the lead, even if only by a little. xbox360 communicating with computers is a great feature though...and the reason why its just now being introduced is because they were waiting for vista and windows live everywhere... And private chats would be nice.

Upgrade! You can buy a socket 939 motherboard for 30-100 bucks depending on if you want SLI or not... a socket 939 processor round 70 bucks(Athlon 64 3500+ was at $80 bucks on newegg) a decent video card for 100-200(if you buy a motherboard that uses AGP don't forget to get an AGP graphics card, and for a PCI-express motherboard to buy a PCIexpress graphics card) and just use all your other old stuff oh and some memory. socket 939 uses DDR memory which you can get 1 GB for round 80 bucks... maybe a dvd burner for 30 bucks and presto you have yourself a new decent gaming computer for round 280-450 bucks... and it runs better than a dell you'd buy at around the same price. Newegg.com sells parts cheap. Though if you don't know how to put one together newegg does sell different brand complete systems for better prices than dell (not quite as low as building one yourself). When you build it yourself you can spend the same amount as though you were buying from dell and purchase better parts than they would give you.
