anyone know if retailers are selling any alternative screen protectors now? because i have the hori screen filter and cover ordered, but estimated shipping is 2-4 weeks >_> i dont think my 3ds is gonna last that long before it starts to get small scratches :( Batang_X990
Check out this: http://www.gamespot.com/forums/topic/28407618/first-full-body-skins-for-3ds-for-3ds-owners.?tag=topics%3Btitle

They offer both the full body or just the screens. They are the only place I could find from a lot of research that has the full body protection. I hear it can be a pain in the butt to apply all the sections, but I don't mind, a scratch free 3DS is worth some pain! :)

Hey, a lot of you were asking about protection for your 3DS, specifically film screen protectors, but no company has released a full body film protector.

Bestskinsever just announced on their facebook page that you can order their full body skin right now and it will ship 3/31. Just go to their website and check it out. They said its on sale for a limited time only, so if you want it get it ASAp before it goes back up to $15 (its $12 right now).

I just wanted to share that info! Cheeeeeers.

I'm just amazed that no company produced a full body film protector for the 3DS on launch day for the US market. That's just incredible. If I was a company that only made screen protectors, I would damn well make certain my company would have them out at launch day! You could make a killing. You would have a monopoly on it.

I guess more people need to test it out. I've learned from multiple devices that leaving it on the charger is not a great idea. One being an Archos 605 that I had, people had major problems with batteries dying when left on the charger (it was supposed to stop charging it). Also I've seen many laptops die from being charged too often. I've always learned to just charge my devices fully, then let them drain down (not fully until dead), than charge them back up. It has always worked for me, so I'll continue to do that. :)

I registered my 3DS on club nintendo, and got the 90 day extended warranty, WOO! But, when it asked me to confirm the pin number of it, when I put the number in, it didn't work. When I was seeing what was wrong, it closed and now I can't get my points! What should I do? I am so mad!

EDIT: How do you register SSFIV on Club Nintendo?
Thanks!

gomakyle25

Hey buddy, you can still register your pin number to receive your 160 coins. Read what I'm saying carefully. The pin number that you use to get your 160 coins IS NOT the serial number on your 3DS (that's the thing you use to get your 90 day extended warranty) To get the 160 points look inside your 3DS packaging for a red slip that says register your product... on the back it gives a pin number. Simply log into Club Nintendo and enter in this pin number into the box that says: "Enter pin or serial # here" and to the right is a button that says "Register Now". After you fill out a short survey you will get 160 coins added to your account.

That area with the "Register Now" button is ALSO the area where you enter in your game's pin number to earn coins. In the UK some third party games come with a Club Nintendo pin number, can someone confirm that for the US games. I believe Rayman was one of the UK games to include a CN pin #.

I absolutely love my Cosmo Black 3ds so I have no buyer's remorse what so ever. I don't have any games besides Pokemon Black but it's all good because I know the good games will be coming out soon.:)

[QUOTE="MicrosoftISdumb"]

I don't pay taxes because I live in a tax free state (once you go no tax, you NEVER go back!) and I don't like any of the 3DS games so I didn't get any. I'm going to simply play the AR games and the other stuff already on the 3DS. Plus I bought some DS games to play on the 3DS.

So that answers your question of: "I never understand why people buy stuff from gamestop.com or places like barnes and noble when they could get it from amazon or another place online that doesn't charge sales tax."

Which leads me to my question of: "How the heck can people live in a taxing state, I can't imagine paying thousands of dollars in taxes a year on all my purchases... local AND online!" :P

Noj_Leakim

Just because you arent paying taxes doesnt mean you are really saving money in the long run. You are probably being charged some weird fees for everyday items, or are pying the money you would give to the govt if you were taxed somewhere else. The state government has to get its money from somewhere afterall

No, no weird fees for every day items. Actually our prices are lower than all the places around here. For instance clothing is way cheaper (I can get Levi jeans for $15 a pair... my relatives save their heavy shopping for when they come to Delaware, they save so much money), gasoline prices are always lower than the surrounding places it was $3.40 today, housing prices are lower (can't even compare it to California! Lets not even talk about their 8.25% sales tax :o ). Our income taxes are among the lowest, property tax is among the lowest (search for delware, lowest in the state is ranked 600!!) etc. etc. etc.

Delware is a state in which people pay less taxes and pay more with their money on all the good things in life. We are such a small state, we get breaks. We get picked on, but in the end we win, because life is all about money... and we get to keep it. :D

Why do you think every major Bank tries to locate their headquarters in Delaware. I could give you a hint, but I bet you can figure it out. ;)

I sent this as a PM to a fellow Gamestpot member. This is what I personally recomend:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hey! When you say "clear plastic cover" do you mean this:tinyurl.com/4rjfl6x
Or are you talking about the clear plastic film that they offer to protect your 3DS screen? If you are talking about the clear plastic looking thing that I linked to above, I would recomend getting that over the silicon case. But really I would recomend neither since when you use those cases, it prevents you from charging your 3DS on Nintendo's charging cradle. If you don't mine taking the protector off each time you charge it, than go that route. I would personally recommend getting the clear plastic film that Hori makes for the 3DS. One being it doesn't hide the Nintendo 3DS' color, it makes it less bulky, you can still use your 3DS on the Nintendo charging cradle, and when the film is properly applpied you can barely even notice it. I'm on the fence about buying the Hori screen protector film right now because I found out they offer a full body film cover on PlayAsia's website. Its sold out, but I'm thinking about waiting, because I love the full body film protectors. Here's a link to that: tinyurl.com/4hvcq6s
If you don't want a full body protector like that, go with just the Hori film screen protector. Here's a link to that: tinyurl.com/4s4r2ut
I'm hoping Amazon.com will also offer those full body Hori's. I'll just be extra extra careful with my 3DS when I get it. Probably put a really small cotton ball inbetween the two screens when I close the 3DS to prevent any nastiness from occuring
Oh and you can always get a pouch like this (doesn't have to be Hori, a pouch is a pouch): tinyurl.com/49m3x3j
I think that's the ultimate combo. Full body Hori film to prevent your device from any scratches and a pouch to keep your device from any drops. Those pouches are way better at protecting your device from breaking than those silicone cases or that plastic cover.
Just my to cents! Good luck!
