European here. I don't have Gamestop where I'm from.
How does this work? Assuming Gamestop vends brand new games - does this scenario work?:
Customer A buys Assassin's Creed 4 Xbox 360 for $59.99 brand new. He finished game, buys Xbox One, and trades in AC4 360 for $9.99 + tax. He has spent a total of ~$70.
So, what happens to the traded in AC4 360 copy? Assuming it was new from the store, how much does it get vended for as a now second-hand copy? 30, 40 dollars?
If it does work this way, and even if the price cuts for second hand games are much bigger, it's quite a profitable business to run.
@marcheegsr @Mausingen @xxYetterxx Yeah - it does pick up as you go along. The fact that you can choose to upgrade differently with pills as the game progresses allows you to take different approaches too. It's very interesting avoiding human thugs a la metal gear solid with fully upgraded hearing, instead of running and gunning.
