every time i go to the marketplace blade it says its unavaible. anyone els getting this?

for the last week or so i havent been able to join certain friends games, hear them in other peoples games, or even accept there chat invites. i am also unable to hear most of the other players in the games as well. i have power cycled my router and cable modem, disconected everything on my network then reconnected them and it still is happening. i have also run the test network option in the dashboard and it says everything is connected and the my nat is open. anyone know what my problem is?

ok so 1st off ill admit that i am a pc noob and realy have no knowlege when it comes to graphics cards and drivers. i recentally got a new pc, here are the specs- windows vista premimum, intel core 2 duo E6300, Nvidia GeForce 7600 GS 256 MB, 2048 ddr2 memory. my problem is that when i go to play pc games like half life 2 the graphics dont display right and are all messed up. ive tried uninstalling it, playing it on the lowest settings and change the resolution but it still happens. some one told me that i have to update my gpu drivers, not knowing how to do that i started clicking around the control pannel untill i found something thath looked right. this is what i did to get to the screen shot below. START-CONTROL PANNEL-SOUNDS AND HARDWARE-DEVICE MANAGER.

from here i right clicked on the display adapters and found nvidia geforce7600 gs. when i right clicked on it it gave me the option to go to properities. when i did i saw that there was a tab for drivers.

now here it show that the driver is from 10/9/2006. from what people have told me this driver is out of date so i went to nvidia.com and looked for a driver for my card. again here is where i come up empty and am not sure of what to do. i believe that this is the driver i need driver. i went here and clicked graphics drivers-geforce and tnt2-windows vista 32 bit. and again i dont know if this is right. to sum it all up i need someone to tell me how to update my drivers with the info i have provided. if you need anymore info just let me know, and thanks for reading this post i know its long and just proves how little i know about computers.

another quick question. i went to dxdiag and it said that i have dx10. i dont know if its standard with vista but is my gpu a dx10 gpu and could that have something to do with why its messing up
