so i have steam vents and the money to build, but when i try to build a thermo generator i only have the option to excavate the spot i want to build on. is there something i am missing or is there some kind of research i need to do to build thermo generators.

so ive been planning to upgrade a few things but im not that tech savy with computers, i want to get a new cpu, gpu, and more memory. so far i think i have picked a compatiable cpu with my motherboard but im not sure about the gpu or the memory. alos i dont know if the power source needs to be upgraded aswell. here is my current pc. here is the new cpu , gpu, and memory. again im not sure about any of these choices and would greatly appreciate any help in making the right purchases. also i would like to keep costs down and am working with a budget of around $500 for everything.
