I remember being in 4th grade when we got our Sega Genesis and a lot of the games were around the $59.99 price point, especially if they were 4 megs or bigger.

Some launch games were in this price range like Revenge of Shinobi and Last Battle.

Some were in the $49.99 price range too, but this was 25 years ago mind you.

Some launch games were even more, Phantasy Star II was $80 and it was a launch game.

So yeah, i think $60 is reasonable, however I also usually buy games around the $30 price point since they are on sale so much.

I actually got accused of being an espionage agent for MS in the last thread I posted that got closed.

Thing is, 3 months ago I was gaming on a 720p Plasma TV and finally decided to upgrade. I upgraded to 4k HDR since they had some great deals out at the time, I think it was maybe a Labor Day thing or something. Anyway, I was already on the fence of getting one since I had the 4k and I knew they had Forza coming out.

Like I said before I was still on the fence until Gabe from Penny-Arcade said once he played one it completely changed his mind, so then I decided to get one since after years of following PA, I know me and the guys agree about 9/10 times.

I'm glad I did, there is no longer reason to play any multiplats on my vanilla PS4, and I don't game on PC because I don't like having to deal with all the extra work that comes with it. Yes PC is superior, I am just lazy.

And of course I am going to continue to play my PS4, God of War? yes please. TLOU pt 2? Of course, the original is in my top ten GOAT. But for multiplats like the new Metro, they will be played on my X.

As mentioned in the title, I had no interest in the X.

Then good Gabe from Penny-Arcade.com mentioned how he was anti Xbox - One as well, and they sent him an X to review knowing this anyway.

And he said then it all changed, and so I paid attention when he said it was the best console he ever played on.

So I went and picked up a X yesterday (previously only console I had current gen was vanilla PS4). One of my main arguments being I owned a 4k HDR tv anyway and might as well make the most of it.

And i'm glad I did.

Forza Motorsport is the best looking game I have ever seen on a big screen, and even the sound is phenomenal. The UI for the actual system is ridiculously easy to use, it's almost minimalistic.

I am really glad now that I picked the system up, I can't wait to see some of the games I have missed out on this gen and what they look like, like Halo 5 or Gears of War 4. I should have prefaced this thread that I *do not* own a proper gaming PC. (I just don't like hassling with the extra bits n pieces you have to deal with, and have thus generally been a console gamer.

So as a sort-of former Xbox One hater, I can say I am glad that I changed my mind and gave it a chance, this is the only console I am going to play multiplats on in the forseeable future.

@HardMode88 I know all about PSO. I played the hell out of that game on my Dreamcast back in the day.

What I'm saying is I want an honest to goodness *sequel* to IV, classic jrpg with a story-centric party made of unique characters and good ole turn-based combat.

Seriously, I want a proper sequel to PS IV than any other jrpg, it's not even close.

For immersion, I was extremely impressed by Metro: Redux, possibly the most underrated games i've played in years.

As an older gamer (i'm 36), I never thought there would be a better "system wars" than Sega vs. Nintendo from the 90's, oh the arguments we had on the playground.

But this MS vs Sony vs PC is virulent and puts our old "System wars" to shame.

I was planning on getting, solely for Forza 7 since I just upgraded to 4k.

But then Mario Odyssey released, and I told myself months ago that if it got 10's i was gonna get a switch, so apparently i'm getting a Switch.

However I will not be surprised if I get a X1X in the future.
