when the game in question doesn't bother to keep the core ideals of the franchise at heart, it's a cash grab.....

and don't give me this MGS is stealth.....

METAL GEAR on MSX/NES was also a stealth game, less about action than anything so yeah.....

MGS was simply the evolution, the revolution.....rising didn't fit anywhere in the continuum and had nothing that really resembled metal gear other than raiden.....

acid will not be mentioned further, it's sh**t.....

@dorog1995: even rising and acid were not real metal gear games in my book.....

I'll pass on this.....it's not really metal gear anymore, it's cash-in gear......

@customx5: I'm on the fence about this but my comment below was before i saw YT was involved.....yeah, not paying for the Red service......that's not what YT is IMO, why would i want Hollywood BS and crap TV on there??? in fact it's more or less the small & medium size channels that are the best....

like the bigger you are on YT it's like a rule you have to become an overbearing obnoxious jerk....it seems like every large YT channel is that way....just an observation

I'll most likely pirate this when it's out......but if the quality is merely a webrip that won't be good......

@mbrogz3000: first 2 games were amazing......

first game was sorta a mix of Godfather and Goodfellas, the second one was like Goodfellas again and even did the Godfather 2 thing of going from Italy to America granted it was set in WW2 and after all the way up to the mid 50's it actually had a lot of stuff thrown in, some American Grafitti, Goodfellas, Godfather, Untouchables....a little of every good gangster flick and some non gangster stuff in between, I'd highly suggest playing Mafia 2

part 3, definitely don't bother.....interesting setting, poorly executed.....Mafia 2 was one of my fave games last gen next to DXHR, Fallout 3 and NV and Bioshock 1 among others.....

@xnshd: Mafia as an IP is over......even with their small gains the game was such a sh**t show that I doubt anyone wants another.....

I was part of the primary audience of the first 2 games, loved the first game, loved mafia 2 even more but I passed on the third one and never will bother with it cus it's completely trash in my eyes....from a gameplay standpoint

see game one had some technical issues, some gameplay was kinda eh but the total of it's various parts came together well and it was the story that made it worthwhile....

game 2 had less technical issues, solid gameplay and a great story....how the hell do you arrive at near perfection then throw is away???

IDK......

on one side why revisit this, why not let the original movies just be what they are, wonderful films???

on the other side, it's the original actors who played Daniel and Johnny and seeing em in the same space again is awesome....

I guess, don't mess it up is all i can say.......

@lionheartssj1: the problem with superhero games is them being tied into the movies.....

best hero games are in no order, X-Men Legends 1 and 2, Marvel Ult Alliance [I didn't play part 2], DCUO, Injustice 1 and 2, Marvel War of the Gems for SNES/Genesis, X-Men the arcade game, Spiderman & Venom in Maximum Carnage SNES/Genesis, aaaaannnnd though not my bag really definitely the Marvel v capcom games [I kinda liked MVC2 and 3 but I like Injustice way more]

the spiderman games have all had major issues, either the devs don't know what they're doing or can't tell a story or tied to the movies [and in turn are predictable] or offer fracked up situations that make no fracking sense.....the new Spidey game could be pretty good IDK.....it's the first one that i'm genuinely interested in, in years....

@gamingdevil800: Guilty Crown wasn't a romance really, it was a typical revolution against a corrupt government if I remember correct lol but awesome series.....awesome action....and great visual design....
