@wicked_laugh: laughable......

Scarjo can be a good lead no problem it just depends what she has to work with.....

unlike Ghost In The Shell she's playing a character she's helped develop, that we all know, that is always fun to watch....if they build on that then her movie will be solid, will it be Iron Man or Black Panther level success?? maybe not but she's earned a solo MCU film....

she played second to Bill Murray in Lost In Translation and that movie was excellent cus it was well written, had a lot for the actors to work with and the cast was good....the setup was realistic.....

big name actor flies in to do commercials and is utterly jetlagged the whole time, he can't sleep and a newlywed woman is in the same boat as the actor so they go out and see what the city has to offer....it's a great film and Scarjo was excellent in it....it was pre MCU and one of the first mature roles she took and she just fit it perfectly...she's a decent actress and we should give her the benefit of the doubt.....

@DeviantCode: true.....it's just sometimes it's done in good taste....

Mortal kombat v DCU, not the best game in Ed Boon's career but it lead to MK9 and Injustice so all is forgiven, they learned lessons from that game

Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance on consoles was a nice little spin off of the Bioware D&D games and for me it was the game that got me to try the actual RPG's [well Dark Alliance and KOTOR] also if you liked the whole Gauntlet type game Dark Alliance was cool [and Gauntlet dark legacy was great, it was more action oriented, BGDA was more ARPG]

in a way jedi Knight and Academy were spin off's of Dark Forces and FFS they kept the first person option well into Jedi Knight 2 when they knew the third person saber combat was best, Academy went all in on the Jedi side and it was better for it....hell I hated even carrying blasters in that game lol [i'd only carry a sniper rifle just in case i needed it] but really Dark Forces was a shooter, DF2 Jedi Knight was a full sequel and added the force powers cus that's what people wanted and Jedi Academy did more to do away with straight up run and gunning but was still part of the same story that they started in DF...

Halo ODST was a very good spin off, they retained much of the good combat, made it harder as to show just how powerful Chief was and it was really the enemies had the same strength, you were just playing as a more squishy character plus the story and feel of the game was good......love that noir feel they went with...

on the other hand Halo Wars could have been better had it been a PC game only and played like a real RTS game...oops story was there but gameplay blew.....eh like I said some games are better at trying new things than others....or delivering experiences that fit the original game's world......

@iammcgruber: 1 those weren't based on movies and 2 yeah they kinda were sh**t games exept Arkham Asylum.....

the first game was well done and well paced, it was linear yet allowed exploration....great game, from Arkham city they got to be way too big, more action oriented. less detective or stealth sections and the battles were all the same thing, whack a mole or fight the big massive giant guy 10X your size and an ongoing story that really should have been something different each game....

look at mass effect, first game set the stage and was the best RPG of the series, game 2 had you working for the enemy, fighting a mysterious enemy and game 3 people were wary of you and you were trying to get everyone together to fight this big war.....each Mass Effect game was different, with a different story arc yet fed the overall massive story...

with Arkham I may as well just been playing GTA in the end.....or assassins creed cus that's what the games were after the first one....

@dorog1995: you honestly need to quit white knighting this crap.....

it's a cash in, nothing more, it's a zombie survival game like ark or rust or all those other crap games like that, it has little to do with Metal Gear so why support it?? are you that dense???

metal gear back in the day was sneaking action

metal gear solid was same kind of sneaking action on a higher level, helped define modern stealth games along with Thief, Deus Ex and Hitman

but the so called spin offs went more action, card games and BS and merely tried to bait and switch players on the name....same thing Survive is doing....
