Good. I like this. Now, if you bring back .5 ratings I'll bless your babies.
MATI9630's forum posts
Ok, dude.
I saw AC IV had a user score of 8.5. Since your site is so bugged it says it had 0 player reviews, I wanted to know -roughly- how many of actual ratings there may be. So I rated it 1 and brought the average rating down to 8.2. OK, so not many people have rated it, now I'll delete my rating and --
That's the thing. I can not. Unless you hid this option deep down in gamespot's basement and I can't find it. But to me it seems it was just another bad-thought decision on gamespot's site. Am I right?
Personally, I'd also like X.5 ratings to come back. You've got A LOT of people bitching about it, why are you so stubborn? It's not like it's very difficult to bring them -- *looks at how bad site functions right now* Ok then. I'd still like you to try.
Just simple list of ratings, like in old gamespot's days, would be fine. Separate page and stuff. Though, I guess, if you want these on stacks, that'd be ok too -- all ratings automatically go to 'Games I've Played'.
Also, I hope you remembered your promise about separating multi-console releases.
I tried to keep this post as least aggressive and troll-baiting as possible. This is my best. Sorry.
@SoraKH2_Mau: Because not doing so'd make sense.
Ok. Your ratings are in the system. But games that you only rated and not reviewed are not always going to show up. We know about that and are working on it.
About f'ing time.
And what about 'hey, guys, your X.5 ratings will be saved'?
I am upset by this too. But mostly, I stopped caring. New gamespot is such a crap site, ruined by so many illogical devs' design.
If devs actually listened to the feedback, that'd be half of a problem.
They hardly ever respond to threads like this - making traffic by B:I's controversial bullcrap review is way more important than, you know, fixing the site.
edit: wow, edgework did respond to 'where are the ratings' thread a day ago :O Hey, it took you only 9 days.
What about goddamn history of ratings?
Are you ever gonna bring it back? Any staff comment on that?
Don't try using logic against gamespot devs! I am yet to see one response from them (excluding deleting posts) about the whole ratings issues. Lots of people complaining (rightfully) on the forums, but 'developers' just want the s..tstorm to calm down.
Simplify everything = the best solution. Stay classy, GS.
+1
We've also been told that our old ratings would stay (8.5 = 8.5, not 8) which is also not the case. Oh come on, gamespot doesn't really give a rat's ass about functionality. What matters is: a lots of clicks cause of new -bullshit- review of Bioshock Infinite! YAY! CLICKS!
Wow, you deleted my post because...? Butthurt much?
Anyway, congratulations on making so many wrong decisions with your new layout. Last.fm's unwanted changes didn't bring them any popularity (just check weekly listeners of e.g. Led Zeppelin 2 years ago and 2 months ago), don't think yours will too.
Anyway, you've promised to keep our old ratings, yet "I've rated Gemini Rue as 8". I'm pretty sure that was 8.5. Hell, I don't even know where I can access all of my past ratings, if someone could help, I'd be glad.
Also, one more thing from your faq. "Why should be something inbetween great (8) and superb(9)?" Good question. But better is: why should NOT there be something inbetween good (7) and great?
But yeah, delete post instead of replying with a valid response, I'd expect too much from you
