Lol, I know. Right after I posted that I was like, haha wtf am I doing? Nobody's going to take that shit to heart and I'm probably just going to cause the exact comments that I was arguing against, and tadaaa.. look what the first reply was. It's an annoying, poisonous cycle.
I'm so sick of the this side vs that side shit. Why can't people just have fun playing what they like. I bought a PS4 because that's what I decided on, but I'm not going to troll on people who want the xbox one. I'm sure it will be lots of fun too. PS4 will have some exclusives that are home runs and some that are flops, as well as xbox one. The only thing required to be on the "winning console" is for you to be happy with your purchase, with a shit eating grin on your face, and a contoller in your hands. But this back and forth crap has got to go. It's making gamers and gaming in general look bad.
Hey guys, I'm looking for some advice. I have never played any of the Batman Arkham games. I was thinking about picking up City or Origins, but I can't decide. I'm leaning more towards City just because it's like $20 and has a better review score. I'm just looking for opinions/reasons why to go one way over the other? Thanks guys.
Looks pretty, has cool weapons, and I bet I'll have more fun playing it than this guy, since fps's aren't very popular in Japan anyway. So, yeah, I'll buy it. I don't care if it isn't revolutionary or ground breaking, not every game can be a 9 or 10. Looks like it could be at least an 8 or so. Not sure why people would click on a killzone video to make comments about respecting or disrespecting some other game console that has nothing to do with killzone, but okay. Killzone isn't COD or BF or Halo or whatever triple a game you prefer, but it's still fun in it's own way, so I'll buy it.
Danny, great video. I love playing Far Cry 2, Red Dead Redemption, and Skyrim because they feel like you're going on vacation to those places. Their environments just feel so alive with the sounds, weather, animals, ect. Last winter I was playing Red Dead and my parents stopped by for a visit. They sat down and wanted to watch me play (this has never happened before) after they saw me riding a hoarse. The first thing I want to do in GTAV is get a rifle or shotgun and just wander off into the wilderness to see what trouble I can get into.
Firstly, thanks for stating the obvious. While reading your reply to a comment that I made, about about this article, which concerns Call of Duty, which was posted on GAMEspot, which happens to be a website with VIDEOGAME news and reviews... it must have slipped my mind that we were in fact discussing a subject that did not take place in the dimensional space known as reality. Thank you for contributing your insight.
Secondly, sniping is very distinctly, not camping. My heavy use of technical jargon was meant to verbally dissect this logic. The #1 cardinal rule of sniping is to relocate after firing. Like I said, it's a game, so people will stay put and hold down an area if they're good enough, which is okay, because then you can attack them directly, or simply choose not to spring there trap anymore and just go after someone else. I can't count how many times I've repeatedly sniped the same people in the same spot because they get mad and just rush in without thinking. Camping is just parking your ass behind a barrel and shooting people as they run past, which requires no skill or planning.
Gotta put in my two cents. I've always hated quick scoping. What's the point of looking like a sniper, using a sniper rifle, if you're not being a sniper? A sniper has to work to get to his final firing position, where he is hiding (not to be confused with camping). From there he fires 1 effective shot, then RELOCATES, because after that first shot his position is compromised. But because it's a video game, let's say you can hang out there as long as you think you can hold that position or until you get overrun or someone counter snipes you, which is how it should be. Instead we get clowns running around with sniper rifles shooting people 10 feet away. My point is the fact that you are even able to do this in the game just makes the whole sniper class a moot point. I'm not saying it has to be like BF3 (which I really enjoy), but just change it somehow so that you have to play like a sniper to be a sniper. You know, like modern warfare 1,2, and world at war. A sniper should be a glass cannon. Extreme damage long range attack, but not able to be effective up close because sniper rifles are HEAVY single shot weapons (primarily) that are difficult to maneuver with. I.e. it's not your M4 assault rifle, and it damn sure isn't your MP5 smg!! Which brings me to another point, you need very large wide open spaces for this. The exact OPPOSITE of MW3! You need to turn down the speed a little, and have a more paced out multiplayer experience on a bigger map. People will appreciate the transition between tight close quarters, medium sized maps, and big obvious sniper maps. Lastly, effective range of a shotgun. Wtf to activision and treyarch. Slugs, buckshot, flechette, whatever, they don't just disappear after 15 feet! Can we at least get a hit marker out to 50 yards, damn!?
