In four chapters of Resident Evil Third chapter was the most frightening and the fourth chapter had the best story of all. unfortunately horror parts is lost in 4st chapter like zombies, i think former zombies were perfect for Resident Evil not zombies that were in the 4st chapter

Unknown_Hero3

The enemies in Resident Evil 4 weren't even zombies.

lol....what!?!?!

They were infected with parasites.

If I remember correctly, Blade and Soul might be coming to PS3 tooRurouniSaiyajin

I wonder what's taking NCSoft so long to announce a platform(s) for the game.

2008 is starting to unfold into a year of gaming disappointment. First, Haze sucked. Then we find out that no Final Fantasy game will hit the PS3 for a long time. Even worse, Square, Atlus, and Namco have all turned traitor, and they are releasing the RPGS on other consoles.

Then the delays. August was set to be a killer month with Saints Row 2 and Brothers in Arms. These games got pushed back. The only title to get excited about this month is Mercenaries 2. Then we get infinite delays. I almost wished the gaming press would stop giving us previews. I'm tired of the letdown. I found out that Mafia 2, Ghostbusters, and Brutal Legend no longer have a release date. These games may get canned altogether.

The list of AAA titles appears to be whittling down. :(

Haze did not suck imo, I enjoyed the game. We all knew that Final Fantasy XIII wouldn't hit the PS3 till 2009 so no disappointment there. How did Atlus betray Sony? The only games they've released on the 360 are mediocre at best. We're still getting the Shin Megami Tensei exclusive. Square is supporting each platform equally, Infinite Undiscovery is exclusive because Microsoft paid for it. The Last Remnant is timed and Star Ocean 4 will mostly be timed also. While the PS3 is getting Final Fantasy XIII Versus exclusively. Fair trade I would say.

Sure, Namco released Ace Combat 6 and Tales of Vesperia exclusively on the 360 (for now at least), I'll be damned if we don't see future Ace Combat titles on the PS3. If you remember awhile back, there was scans for a Tales PS3 game from Namco so expect announcement in TGS. Don't forget we're getting Eternal Sonata from Namco this fall.

Saints Row 2 and Brother in Arms were never killer apps so not loss there. We're still getting them this year. Are you forgetting the amount of exclusives we're getting this year?

Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm

Valkyria Chronicles

Disgaea 3

Resistance 2

LittleBigPlanet

Motorstorm 2

SOCOM: Confrontation

Singstar Vol. 2

Afrika

I'm sure I am forgetting some.

[QUOTE="LuckyLy"]As well all know, the Resident Evil series is first and foremost a horror game, but since the release of Resident Evil 4 the series has lost its touch. I played and beat Resident Evil 4 and not at one point did I find a scary moment. Now with Resident Evil 5 the game is even taking place in daylight. Capcom said they were going to make us afraid of daylight, but there's no way in hell I can see that happening. The worst offender is the addition of a partner. With that feature they've taken away the feeling of being "alone." I know I'm in the minority, but what Capcom is doing to the Resident Evil series is a F U to the fans. psyum

agreed 100% its no longer a scary title, ok 4 was a great game but i feel like it was resident evil no more, it felt like a new title

4 was good, but definitely did not deserve the title Resident Evil imo.

resident evil 4 was the best one...its called progress...and tell me you didn't get scared the first time that dude with the chainsaw came out...and resident evil 4 was supposed to be experienced on the gamecube...thats the real versionslystallion26
When I said "not at one point did I find a scary moment" I really meant it.
[QUOTE="Unknown_Hero3"]Res 4 was my favorite of the series...pokerchamp1
RE2 & RE: REmake tie as 1st in my opinion. But. To say that Resident Evil has lost it's Magic? That's obsurd. And B.S.

The Resident Evil series has always been about the creepy atmosphere that will actually make you feel afraid of playing the game alone especially at night. There was also moments where the game will make you jump out of your seat, but Resident Evil 4 had none of those. Resident Evil 5 certainly will not.
