I like how everyone comes to the defense of video games without reading what they guy is really saying. Is he putting the sole blame on games? No. Is he saying that it could be a factor? Yes. He also states that there isn't sufficient evidence to say that violent games have a confirmed impact, to which they're trying to look into. Hell, he even says that more research should be done before any legislation is passed regarding violent games.
Call of Duty: Iron Wolf - Alternate WWII timeline where Russia is the first to develop nuclear weapons. After several world threatening bombing runs, the last remnants of the German Wehrmacht and Allied forces join up and launch an attack in Europe, while Australian, British and Chinese launch an attack in Asia.
@drlouies @carb0nknight @Thanatos2k No company in their right mind would do such a thing. Like them or hate them, Microsoft is not that stupid and any securities expert will tell you that there is no serious company out there that would do this intentionally. It is moronic to think that passwords would be stored in plaintext. However, to what degree the passwards are encrypted to can be debated.
Just because the industry makes billions doesn't mean that the developers do. You have to take into consideration the costs that go into development, packaging, shipping, marketing, publishing, etc. Granted, the price of gaming in general has gotten too expensive, but the developers don't see 100% of the profits that a game makes.
It sucks that Hayter won't voice Big Boss, but the character is getting old in the story line. It's only natural that his voice will change. What I'm concerned about is that whoever is doing the voice actually captures it, where the voice isn't something completely different, but that of an aging man.
I don't think these rumors can be true. It's too much control over what the consumer can do with the console and their games. It's too easy to see how bad the backlash would be if it were to happen.
THQ was great and I feel bad for those that are going to lose their job. It's great that many will keep their jobs and a lot of those sold off are in good hands. However, it's a sad day and I'll be sure to remember THQ.
