I quit WoW two and a half years ago, just after Cataclysm came out. Not gonna lie though, I'll probably give this one a go if only out of morbid curiosity. It looks utterly ridiculous, what with the Panda's and all that, but the part of me that can't look away from a trainwreck will probably win.
I find F2P frustrating, because then you end up having to pay extra for "the full experience" or "to keep up." Micro-transactions in some cases are fine by me, if it's like WoWs pets & mounts or TSW's clothing that has no effect on actual gameplay. I feel no pressure to buy that stuff.DLC though is just ridiculous, the few times I've bought it I've been disappointed with the content so I don't anymore (I'll make an exception for Skyrim DLC, don't you let me down Bethesda). It's become an excuse to release unfinished games. Look at the Sims. By the time the third one came out, you got a game with damn near no content, unless you wanted to go to the trouble of customizing every single piece instead of actually playing with your Sims. It was the first Sims I actually payed for, and it will be the last.
I'll be giving this a try despite the flaws because it sounds really intriguing, and I am sooooo bored with everything else right now. You get 30 days free anyway, if it doesn't hold up beyond that all I'll have lost is the cost of the game.
@StaticPenguin @supershaft777 I think he just managed to insult and entire gender, and entire country, and an entire profession in less than 100 words.
I really don't know how I feel about this. I'm excited about more TES, but I never wanted to play another MMO. And like TES fans everywhere, I fear what this will do to the series. Will I still get a TES VI in 3 or 4 years? Or will this be it? And will this bring abject disappointment? Ahhhhhhh :/
