I think that if you already have the original PS2 there's no need to change it for slim one. The slim design it not the advantage IMHO. The only advantage could be the LAN adapter but only if you have other console with it or if you go on-line. But it's better to get the optional network adaptor for big PS2 than to change the console.
My verdict: PSTwo is good as the first PS2. If you got the old one, like I do, keep it and enjoy the classical look!!!
