@blaze_adeel @Kyere Wasn't being serious. I'm pretty aware how GotY sets work. Publishers and developers throw GotY on titles that aren't so they sell (and it works for the most part). They are also bundled editions that gather expansion packs and add-on DLCs into one box set. Usually for a lower price than buying said items separately.

@tightwad34You should brush up on your history brah, we're living in one of the "most peaceful" eras in human history. No Great Power rivalries, tons of global economic interdependence, a superpower-hegemony that isn't bent on world domination, and a legitimate international forum for grievances/issues = much more peaceful planet. Just 120 years ago, there were proxy wars and colonization attempts made every year by several Great Powers all attempting to bone each other for the biggest slice of the pie. This led to the two most devastating wars in human history. And before that? Wars every twenty years on the European mainland alone that devastated the civilian populace to the point of exhaustion. They literally had no more soldiers to fight the wars.
So far? We've been doing alright since then. Cold War was relatively peaceful besides a few proxy skirmishes that got out of hand (nothing on the scale of conflicts in the past) and the international war on terror of the 21st century pales in comparison to Genghis Khan's reign of terror.
I wish time travel were a reality, so idiots like you could see how we lived in the Dark Ages. Times are a lot better than they used to be. And that's a sign of progress.

@abHS4L88 @rushiosan I agree dude. Only some kid who started playing games a couple years ago would spout some shit rhetoric like that. The game industry would be a bland piece of shit without Metroid: Prime (changed first-person games forever; easily on the level of Half-Life), Mario 64 and TLoZ: Ocarina of Time.
That's just naming three titles. If we were to go on exclusives "period". I'd also add Resident Evil 4 into the mix. I mean, that GCN-exclusive title only CHANGED THIRD PERSON GAMES FOREVER.
