First off I respect your opinion. Second: I'm tired of the word "rape" being casually used to describe things of this nature or in video games as far as people "owning" one another or being successful in a video game (you do realize this atrocious act actually does happen to people right?). The version you speak of is the concept YOU are more familiar with. Meanwhile, most of us grew up on the "Cowabunga" version of TMNT (and good luck trying to get the version you're familiar with on TV as a Saturday morning cartoon-Networks back then wouldn't have it I'm sure and neither would sponsors I imagine). So, this is the cause of the uproar, that is what's going on, and I can't say I blame a lot of people that, yet again, something beloved from our past is being trotted out to cater to a new audience while trying to pander to the diehard fans of the originals. Not happening. Transformers: The Animated Movie is so much better than Michael Bay's Transformers trilogy it's not even funny. At least in the animated movie they didn't have humping dogs. Nuff said. That's just my opinion.lol, it is funny people would get upset at a tmnt reboot when they were raped decades ago from the original concept on saturday morning tv.
i was reading the books back in the day where the turts were anguished over their shytty lot in life, hated each other and performed bloody graphic violence on the foot then one day they are on tv going "cowabunga dude! lets totally eat some pizza!!!"
the concept that bay could screw them up any more than that is pretty funny.
