I have had my PS3 for almost 4 years now and its first generation (obviously) and last week it started "acting up" I was trying to play the Assassin's Creed II DLC because Assassin's Creed Brotherhood was coming out the next week and after a couple days of playing the DLC I had been playing it for only a few minutes when it froze up. All of the visuals were frozen but the sound stilled worked but I could not turn it off using the controller so I turned it off from the playstation its self. I tried to play the game again and it froze 2 times in a row within a few seconds of starting the game but finally I got it working. Today, I was trying to play Assassin's Creed Brotherhood for the first time and it downloaded an updaye fine and it downloaded and installed the game without problems, after I deleted a few demos since I'm running low on space, but then when the game went to the main menu it froze just like it had with AC2. I restarted it and tried again and the same thing happened. I decided to try to delete some old games of my PS3 but when I tried the PS3 started having visual glitches and then froze within 30 seconds before I could do anything. I tried that a couple more times to the same affect. Eventually it froze within 3 seconds of turning on and it then wouldn't turn on unless I used the "restart" method for lack of a better term. I took the game out and turn it off entirely and took it out and it felt a little hot, so I tried vaccuming it to make sure there were no clogs in the fans and then tried it again. This time it worked when I was just trying to navigate around the PS3 its self but the second I put the game in it froze. And thats where I am now. Any ideas what may be going on from anyone?
I was thinking about getting Enslaved because it reminded me of Jak and Daxter which I really enjoyed but I also really enjoyed Fallout 3 so... any ideas?

LOTRO will be free in the fall. A few good ones I heard about were APB which comes out on the 29th and DC Universe Online which comes out in November and Star Wars: The Old Republic which comes out next spring, even though i'm sure you have heard of those.
