Yes, I agree, like I said, unless it would be cheaper and easier to get a new one I would prefer to stick with this one since mine has never gotten the YLOD yet and the first gen can play ps2/ps1 games.

I have the answer now. Originally I was not sure how easy or expensive it was but now that I know that it is both easier and cheaper I have made my decision.
Get a new harddrive. Don't get another ps3. Your 60GB is better than the ones out now.

But the 60GB versions seem to be the most defective. You should rethink your post. If I was the TC I'd go with a 120GB or 250GB PS3 version..and sell the 60GB one to offset some of the money to buy the new one. I currently have a first gen 60 gb PS3. It is out of space on its hard drive and I was wondering if it would be cheaper and easier to just buy a new 250 gb PS3 or to replace the hard drive with a new 250 gb hard drive (if possible). If anyone has any info, tips, or suggestions on this matter they would be greatly appreciated.
