Skyrim was amazing when it came out back in 2011, but I tried playing it a few weeks ago, and it just hasn't aged well. Maybe it's all of the great games I've played since then tainting my perception, but Skyrim just feels clunky now. The combat is simplistic and clumsy. The AI is horrible. And the interface, particularly the way they did the "favorites list," is awful. While I enjoyed my time with the game, I'm good with Skyrim being left in the past. I don't need a port or an "HD Remake."

If this story doesn't illustrate how morally bankrupt our society is, I don't know what does. What a shitty world this is. Truly.

So they changed voice actors and gamers are pissed, but if they would have retired Sam and brought in a new agent with a new voice, gamers would have been pissed anyway. Gamers are pissed whenever a developer keeps making the same game over and over again, but Ubisoft changed the SC formula with Conviction, gamers were pissed anyway. But if Ubisoft were to they stop making SC games, gamers would be pissed. Am I missing any scenario in which gamers are not going to cry about something?

How come this whole thing with Mattrick reminds of scenes from Office Space?

Either I already have many of the games on that list or else I know I'll be able to find it cheaper elsewhere without even seeing MS's price list. I mean Prey and Perfect Dark Zero? Those games can be had for under $3 at any Gamestop. Many of the others I've seen for under $20. Just picked up AC3, Hitman, and Dishonored for $13 or less each through Gamefly last week (and that included free shipping and codes, perfect disks and cases). Major Nelson can suck it.

This whole thing reminds me of the 80's, only back then the issue was teen suicide and heavy metal and Dungeons and Dragons were to blame. Humans are so small-minded that we must have a scape goat, a thing on which to pin these horrible tragedies. If video games weren't to blame then it would be a toy or a book or some other popular thing. The real answer is this: humans are animals, and the rule of law is an imaginary construct. You can no more prevent people from doing bad things than you can prevent lightning from striking. So go ahead and ban video games. Ban guns. Ban aggressive sports and violent movies and TV shows and ban all the media coverage of violence around the world while you're at it. And when humans keep killing one another, we can all sit around scratching our heads like the apes we are.

Funny how easy it was to change the policy. Almost as if MS knew consumers would not be happy but went ahead with it anyway just to see if they could get away with it.

The zombie game I've been waiting a long time for. I just wish the glitches and bugs and pop in and clipping and all of the other technical problems had been fixed beforehand. Not sure why they weren't really. Still a great game though and well worth the money.

I just don't have any words for how terribly disappointed I am with the new Xbox. Instead of the taking the 360 to the next level, all they've done is taxed us on used games, placed restrictions where before there were none, and hyped things that don't really move us forward. On the fly, community achievements? It's a neat feature, but I feel like the Xbox One is gone so far off the rails now that there's nothing to do but sit back and watch the train wreck. Sad really, because I absolutely love my 360.
