Finally, devs can negotiate directly with Porsche for their license, without EA. Who in Porsche thought that was a right idea when they signed a deal with EA?! I mean, they only get one game out of that long term deal that featured Porsche exclusively, Porsche Unleashed, just one. All when their competitors featured on all other video games while they stayed mostly on Need For Speed.
I was hoping Crash Team Racing is part of the deal. Guess I demand a little bit too much for now, still interested to play Crash Bandicoot Warped PS4 though...
I think Disney is the least of their concern, EA is the one would be coming for them, since they are the ones have the exclusive rights to Star Wars PC and Console games
@Kungfu_Kenobi: The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones despite the bad reviews, still gross a lot in their time. So I expect the amount for The Force Awakens would be high no matter what the reviews say.
@jerjef: Well, in the business world, this move makes a lot of sense, it's called paid endorsement. You'll see them in celebrities' social media pages everywhere, where they post something while having the products somewhere in the photos or links. I've seen football players playing Assassin's Creed, TV hosts "playing" CoD behind the scenes and models posing their daily photos with their smartphones on the dining tables. It's call marketing.
Bribery, on the other hand, it's worse than what I describe above, paying government officials to gain advantages over competitors or illegal activities.
@sig_kveldulv: He doesn't wanna promote the game. But, did he know that by posting that picture, he indirectly gave the game publicity? I mean yeah, it's been described as a bad game, but there would be people who are curious by this and will check the game out.
I haven't played the game, but the reviews are concentrated on both spectrum. You either liked it or hated it...
But this rant is strange though. So, he complained that a company wants him to promote a "shitt" (depends on opinion), still indirectly let the game have some publicity anyway. You could just don't promote it. I mean, really...
