@Nexrad Fair enough, Nexrad. The ArmA series isn't everyone's cup of tea, never has been.

You are the lucky one though. There is a multitude of FPS games out there that you can fall back on because they are much more to your liking.

That's a luxury ArmA fans don't have, and that's why they're willing to make the most out of thisone.....and they will ;)

This is a bit like election times. You register the news, and then go back to your daily routines, well aware that nothing will change.

@willzihang You're right, in a world where 1080p is called "HD" no video really can really represent what a game like ArmA III will look like in full glory.

It's really the review i expected. A rough diamond that will need some more work to really shine. I can live with that, still have a lot of mileage left in my Arma X anniversary edition.

@lumbergoose Could you specify how short ? Quite a few interesting new adventure and survival horror games by smaller companies out there, including thisone. Many of them get a lot of praise, but are also criticised for being short.

I found myself close to downloading some of those but then got put off by that.

Slightly irrational maybe, but i don't like the prospect of a game i can play through in a day.

@Alucard_Prime Voice of reason that's gonna disappear in an ocean of brand rage. You know the industry got us by the balls, when an article about a piece of hardware can stir that sort of emotions.

Good god, it's just a bunch of plastic and circuits. All of it.

@themc_7 Campaign will be relased as free DLC lateron. As far as i understand they didn't want to hold the release back that long.

And yes, i think you can say the ArmA series shines mainly because of it's multiplayer and it's vast tool kit.

Allthough campaigns, missions and The Armory always provided loads of content for the more single player minded people.
