I thought so too, so i spent $15 on a new front I/O panel with a brand new ribbon, and nada :( I'll see if I can get a motherboard exchange... if not, i'm going to buy a sledgehammer :P

So if it was the CPU that was bad, would it at least light up the front panel and spin the fans?

Yeah, I actually even replaced the entire front I/O panel thinking maybe it went bad :( It uses a ribbon like a floppy drive, so there's no way to plug it in incorrectly

Yeah, it was the same model and even the same revision and BIOS number :)

I went over the motherboard inch by inch and there's no leaking capacitors or burn marks around the screws. It didn't go out with a weird smell or smoke or anything. It was shut down Sunday night, and then Monday refused to start. I bought it "NEW" and it appeared to be brand new. Like i mentioned.. it ran great for 3-4 hours, was shut off, and then this new problem started the next day when he tried to turn it on. The CPU is only $15 to try and replace, but I don't like to waste money if that's not the issue :\

I replaced the motherboard and it worked fine for ~3 days, and now it's dead again :( My only guess now is that I got another bad motherboard, or the CPU is bad. Although I thought when the CPU is dead, the fans at least spin at max :\

Oh, and when the PSU is on, the green light on the motherboard stays solid green. If I plug in a network cable, the orange light next to the ethernet port blinks like normal... this is driving me nuts lol

Hello everyone! Thank you in advance for your help!

My dad has a old (2006ish) dell dimension 9150. He started to have an issue where the front LED light would stay amber and only the fans would spin, indicating a hardware problem. After going through everything, I noticed leaking capacitors on the MOBO and replaced the motherboard last week and it was booting up just like normal.

Now, fast forward 3 days - the machine seems completely dead. When you push the power button, NOTHING happens - no light, no beeps, no fans spinning, nothing. I've tired removing the RAM, 3 different PSU's, removed all the PCI cards, checked the thermal paste on CPU, reseated CPU, replaced the front I/O panel thinking maybe that went bad.

Nothing has helped! My only conclusion at this point is either the motherboard broke in 3 days (It was on maybe 3 hours) or the CPU is dead. There are no burn marks on the CPU, or blown capacitors on the motherboard.

Does anyone have any idea's? I don't want to keep sinking money into parts only to have it not

Dungeon Siege 3 is good co-op fun :)

As for Sacred 2, it is an extremely long game. If you are someone who likes to do every side quest you run into, it'll easily be a 100+ hour game. Even the main quest is very lengthy. It's Diablo / Titan Quest style, top-down ARPG. It has its bugs and quirks, but I found it to be really fun co-op :)

If you are into JRPG's at all, Tales of Vesperia is a great game. It doesn't really have any grinding (I never did), but it follows the routine of story / some combat / more story / more combat, etc. It's co-op in combat only, but I still enjoyed it a lot with a group of friends - just pass around the controller ;)

Dungeon Defenders is another solid choice. I think the Xbox version only has the 4 base classes, but still a ton of fun! It's a hybrid of Tower Defense and action. You spend time building towers (ranging from Magic Missile, Fireball, to defensive walls) and then start a wave of enemies in which you can run around and kill them too. I'm pretty sure there's a demo available on XBLA.

That controller looks dirty already.

It took me all of 5 minutes for my gamepad to get fingerprints and dust particles all over :( Lol

I managed to get a screen protector on it, but i still find myself having to wipe the dust off hourly.

Gamestop midnight launches are not franchise-wide, so you will have to check with your local gamestop. The one near my house is not having one, but the bigger gamestop about 30mins away is going to. Just call them up and ask :)
