@Mogan:

Agreed. But not on that part about Jess (the brunette) losing health whenever her helmet closes up. I know you're just kidding, so take my reply as a semi-joke as well: First of all, it's hair. Unless you're Samson from the Bible, you don't get hurt or harmed by getting your hair cut 'coz they're technically dead anyway, as soon as they leave the follicles (like our nails). Secondly, if your armor/suit was smart (& nimble) enough to avoid cutting off your ears & nose in the first place (while you're moving around frantically in a heavy firefight), then I bet it'd be smart enough to avoid giving you an unintended trimming. Think Captain Marvel's auto-sealing armor/helmet. Both she & Minn-Erva still had long beautiful hair, didn't they? But then again, she DID decide to cut it off eventually (even in the books), so who knows? Maybe you're right after all. ;)

And BTW, I don't think Soph (the blonde) is a lesbian just coz she had short hair. Short wavy/curly hair was actually a thing during the 80's; even my mom had one then (think Princess Diana). If anything, I think Jess is actually more of a tomboy than her (from the trailers). Yes, she COULD still turn out to be a lesbian, but at least for now, I'm not really getting that vibe from her. I guess we'll see in a month or so...

@jeribear:

Wait, the executive producer's name is "Jerk"?? Or is that a typo? I actually managed to watch that video clip above LIVE on YouTube when it was streamed during E3, but I thought Mike & Lucy were saying "Derek" or even "Dirk", never did I think that it was actually "Jerk"! Well, ironically, I actually thought he seemed like a pretty nice guy.

Everyone who knows me knows I almost never get too hyped-up about anything; usually just mildly interested, at the most. But for some strange reason or another, this game might've actually possessed me. To the point where I'm now actually re-playing Arcane Studios' Dishonored games AND MachineGames' Wolfenstein games just so I can "re-live" everything they've done before Youngblood's July 26 launch (they co-developed the game,right). Yeah, I know, I must've gone crazy!

Anyway, my ONLY super-slight gripe here (lore-wise), is that I think they should've made the two characters much younger, like 14-16 years old (19+ seems a bit too old for their attitude/behavior). Now, I know some of you might roll your eyes at me and say, "not another teen action-comedy". But I beg to differ. If you think about it, when was the last time you played (or saw) an action-adventure about highschool twin sisters blowing up & tearing apart Nazis in France or Europe or wherever? It would have been a good excuse to crank up the fun & the action & the glorious (fantasy) violence because of how raw & immature & unrefined they are as Nazi-killers (unlike their pro dad)! Like cute young predators just learning how to hunt for themselves. And the profanity? Y'all know nobody has dirtier mouths than young teens, so it still would've been a perfect fit for the hardcore over-the-top atmosphere of the series/universe! Plus, they get to make more sequels since they're still very young (unlike poor now-elderly BJ). Ooohh, it makes me so excited just imagining it that I almost wanna make a comicbook out of it, LOL.

Sadly, the only problem I see with that is the timeline/setting, 'coz if they were that young, it'd be the late 70's then, instead of the early 80's. So yeah, I guess I'll have to accept it as it is...

To be fair, I KINDA liked the Captain Marvel flick, KINDA. But I absolutely agree with you. There's NO WAY in hell her movie was as good as Wonder Woman's, if we're being truly honest here.

Exactly. I mean, there used to be ONE Uncanny X-men & ONE Amazing Spider-man runnin' through literally decades. Now, every couple of years, there's a reboot or re-numbering or whatever for each major title! Heck, my friends & I can't even keep track of which volume we're talking about unless we use a year-suffix for them! Kinda like movies perhaps, but not in a good way.

It's not to say that I'm hating it or anything, but in the interest of "Justice", friend, you nailed it squarely on the head.

Given how relatively new she is, I was actually pretty surprised to see Ghost-Spider (Spider-Gwen) on the main cover. But since she's now become one of my fave characters, I am more than delighted to see her there! I ♥!!

Anyway, DC's #1000s were great, so this one from Marvel should be pretty good. Well, at least I hope so.

I didn't know that. I'm big enough to admit I haven't read up on him in years. Can you give me the title & issue in which this happened (coz maybe I did know & I just forgot)? In any case, this is comics. So him being dead--or alive again for this event--is not exactly a shocker for me.

@jordanramee:

Helpful list, thanks. But can you include a "cry your eyes dry" category for people like me? If you still remember, we've talked about titles like Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso before, but I'm building a personal "hit list" for my big sis to watch (she's gonna hate me for makin her bawl,heheheh). It also has other gems like Kimi no Na wa and Koe no Katachi and others. The main criteria are that it should be beautiful (to the heart & eyes & ears) and that your crying SHOULD include tears of joy, not just those of sadness. So basically, you're crying and smiling and laughing all at the same time (yes,I know it's weird,sorry)! My very pleasant SURPRISE from last year was Violet Evergarden, so it's now a lovely addition to my list (yes,it's ongoing). Anyway, cheers!

"What's the opposite of a cosmic crisis?" -- A highly-localized one? Anyway, I love both Bendis & Maleev (but especially Maleev), so this is a sure pick-up for me. Thanks for the heads-up. BTW, you included Plastic Man as one of "DC's most brilliant detectives", but NOT the Elongated Man? Are you sure that's not a typo?

Hmm, always wanted to check it out, but just never got the chance. So a big thanks to the generous developers & also to you, for the quick heads-up.
