I bet you were already a pro at darksouls1 though so your point on not using wiki pages is moot. Someone who sees/plays darksouls1 or 2 for literally the first time needs some outside source to teach him the 'behind the scenes' things that are at work in darksouls (i.e. equipload/speed system, item functions, weapon effects/types, armor effects/types, etc.)
This review is correct. This is what it's like for someone who doesn't go to the wiki to understand how the equip load/speed system, how the combat works and to read about how almost all the items work and what their effects are.
The first time I played DarkSouls i hated it and thought it a 3/10 game because i didnt get it and it was too hard and i was lost and there was no sense of direction and i was too slow and the enemies were stupidly impredictible and nobody said anything about no story. So i returned it to the guy who lent it to me.
But then I saw how alot of people loved it and was like "how can they like such a weird, unclear, unbalanced, bland ass game?" so i thought like nah man there must have been something i missed. So i bought it for pc andactually went to read the wiki to understand all the aforementioned things. I reduced my equip load to 25% and learned how to use weapons. And by the time i got Havel's ring it was all smooth sailing from there on out and i couldn't believe it when i beat the first taurus demon boss like "holycrap i've finally gotten THIS far". And after that i loved everysecond of it.
But yea.... that's how the game is for new people that are seeing the game for literally the first time.
HELL YEAUH BRING IT ON, SON.Shooting 'sheet'-heads all day, I don't know about you guys but I've no sort of sentimental uhh, ''care'' for this. I'm just excited to shoot Bin Laden over and over in the face. I love these sort of ''real-life'' events represented in video-games.
