@vari3ty: Glad I'm not alone in that opinion.

This article was a pleasant surprise. I wish Gamespot had more well-considered "opinion" pieces like this and less unbearable garbage like On The Spot, and Start/Select. I want more personal viewpoints from the staff, these are good.

Great, great article. This kind of personal writing is something Gamespot has been lacking since, well.... forever.

I've read a few of these but have yet to comment. I'd like to say I find these articles excellent... even if I don't agree with them always, they add a much needed element of personality and individuality to Gamespot. Plus, they're usually spot on. Keep stirring up the pot Tom.... I love it.

Meh... look. I play games to be entertained. I'm not a developer, so frankly, I don't give two s***s about what goes on behind closed doors at these places --- its not my problem. Its like going out for drinks. Is the bartender having a bad day? Is he stressed? No one gives a f***.... as long as he gives good service and good drinks, I'l tip him and I'll come back. Its just business, baby. I don't care how my product gets made (no one is holding a gun to anyones head) --- everyone has stress at ttheir jobs. Bottom line is --- if its good, most of the time it'll turn a profit. Another thing that's infuriating --- 80k a year is nearly triple the average American salary. Grow up, you freakin' cry babies.
