Ratchet and Clank on Nintendo would work like Mario/Zelda/Pokemon etc on Sony consoles... which will NOT be good.nintendoboy16
Not if it started out on nintendo....
uuuum no keep it on sony, ratchet is the only Crashbandicootesque game Sony has tight now. AiurProtoss
I never said it should switch to from sony in the first place.

Not really. On the Nintendo consoles they would just face more competition. I personally never cared for Ratchet & Clank and Jak & Daxter.

More competition? No. R&C faces unfair competition on sony. At least on nintendo it would be with games similar to it...

[QUOTE="Ly_the_Fairy"]Nowadays the fanbase is small, but that has a lot to do with the Playstation fanbase being much more interested in action, and shooting games this generation.Mantleman

^ This...we have more FPS games then we did last generation and its seems more people rather play those games then have a good quilty platform game

Yeah thats why Im saying it would do much much better on nintendo systems I think.... Just look at mario and zelda

They were popular on PS2, then with the ps3, they just got way less popular. I didn't like tools of destruction near as much as any of the other ps2 ones, and so i was cautious buying the next one. I found the Ps3 R&C games nowhere near as good as the PS2 and maybe more people agreed with me, which caused a decline in it's fanbase. I do agree though that it seems like a game that would be on a nintendo console, but i still don't know if it would be as good as the PS2 games.

I dont think it had that big of a fanbase in the first place.... Not compared to alot of other games on the PS2. And IDK why Sonic still has a VERY large fanbase considering most sonic games after the dreamcast ones were terrible, well according to reviews at least personally I enjoyed most sonic games this gen but I just play them casually because my I play it at my friend's house, but there have really been no ratchet and clank games that have been close to being bad, at least the ones that were made by insomniac. So tell me this... Why does sonic still have a very large fanbase when R&C couldnt keep theirs?

Such as the wii and gamecube and whatnot....

My reason for this:

Ok first of all please assume the R&C games were exactly the same as they are now if they were on nintendo systems.

Ok second, please dont give me crap like "The ratchet and Clank games are already very very succesfull and blah blah blah"

They are succesfull with review scores and stuff but the ratchet and clank fanbase is VERY small compared to most other games. Honestly I dont expect many people to even take interest in this topic since most alot of you couldnt care less about ratchet and clank.

I mean, the boards are hardly EVER active even when a new R&C is close to its release date. R&C is my fav videogame series and I can never find a place where I could have good R&C discussions because there are not many people to discuss it with....

And youtube vids uploaded about ratchet and clank get way less views than other games... And im talking about vids posted by gamespot and IGN and other game sites. I mean there was some new trailer IGN uploaded and it only haas like 1500 views. With most other games in that same amount of time would have like at LEAST 5 or 6 times that amount.

Anyway getting back to the nintendo part:

I think if R@C started off on nintendo it would have much more fans. The people who have PS3 just seem to not be intersted in R&C games maybe because of its childish looks...

But games like mario and Zelda have WAYYYYY more fans and thhose games seem to be aimed more towards kids. Nintendo is just an overall better console for more children-oriented and platformer games period.

I dont know it just kind of saddens me that my favorite game series doesnt really get the fame it deserves...

I probably missed some stuff that I was going to say but ya know....

EDIT: Sorry about font color before I had no idea it was gray

Ok there was this game i played as a long time ago I think on the PS1 but it could have been on a super nintendo or maybe even the old sega console? IDK

But you played as this guy and I believe he was skating on rollerskates or something like that, and you would have to avoid holes in the ground. I distinctly remember this level where it seems he is skating on a street, but I rarley got passed that level anyway lol. But I remember when i got to the second level it had super awesome music but i only made it there like twice lol....

I want to eventually try Tools once I'm done with my suddenly growing backlog :/.

I never played a Ratchet and Clank game except Size Matters for the PSP which was meh. More because of the stupid controls on the PSP.

phantomblade220
Yeah the ones that werent made by insomniac are no where near as good...

If it ever dies that is lol.

But seriously I cant even imagine the videogame industry not being revolved around shooters anymore. Especially with multiplayer. But if FPS games were to be taken over by a different genre, what do you think it would be?

EDIT:

For multiplayer mostly. Please stay on topic. I dont want this topic to be turned into an argument about FPSes not being the biggest genre or anything like that. Maybe I should rephrase the question....

If there is another COD status game that gets super famous. What kind of game do you think it would be If it wasnt a shooter?
