@JACOBDRAGON666 No matter how you slice it she's fanservice and little else.
The difference with Halo 4 is that this story is episodic, with new missions being released each week
Oh good grief, here we go again...

Great article! It's frustrating when I see people missing the larger picture, and that the problem is less on disc more about the timing. @EPaul A generation of men and women accustomed to instant gratification and convenience means little to nobody will stand up for themselves on such things. It's a shame, but it's how people are now.

Anyone else see the title and also think "Never trust a big butt and a smile"?

I've been saying this all along. Preorders are nonsense. Paying through the nose on an untested, un-reviewed new game is nonsense. Illogical brand loyalty, irrational loyalty to a company like BioWare or Blizzard, and then there are those that are viciously critical of people that don't preorder. I remember trying to understand this when people were chatting up preorders for the 3DS, knowing there was a weak launch lineup and the future was a trickle of half finished or even unconfirmed games. Their reply? They down-voted me while they up-voted each other. Good piece, Brendan.

The article implies this is a work of art, and not a framework for profit (via direct sales and DLC). It has very little to do with art, and if gauged as such could be considered an unfinished work since deadlines and DLC prohibited the product from being completed properly. That said I think it's rash and silly for people to presume a new ending would make much difference. People can just as easily imagine whatever they want and be equally satisfied. There's no principle, its' not a matter of winning anything, it is what it is, as ugly or as terrible as they chose to make it for their customers. I agree there should be nothing more done about the endings, my reasons are not really the same as this posts. It's done, paying more for more just to give people a better sense of not being ripped off will not change what was done.

Bravo! Well written and fair points all around. I will add, for my part, that at least gay characters saw more realistic depictions in a more timely fashion that black characters. As a black man I find "WHOOOOO, BABY! IMMA COLE TRAIN" and men with bird's nests in their afros similar caricaturization to what minstrelsy used to offer people about a century ago. I digress, however. As they had with Origin Game, EA has more than diminished the once great brand name of BioWare. This is truly the goose that laid the golden egg and we've come to the portion at last where the goose (BioWare) has been butchered. Bloody terrible shame.

2011 turned out to be way more eventful than I'd imagined. A lot of big surprises, a lot of huge letdowns; looking back, it's almost hard to believe all of these things happened only this year.

I am amazed at the things people will take even a little seriously, let alone making a "professional" league of it. Wake me when they invent Major League Hopscotch or start the National Play-Doh League.
Maybe I'm overthinking this, but it just seems pretentious to call it "Major League."
It seems pretentious because it is.

Oh lawds, it's finally happened! Sony is a subsidiary of Microsoft Corporation. OT: This will be the only mainstream portable with dual analog. It will be interesting to see how much this plays into sales, granted they're not those awful nubs again.

They'd see more revenue if they were willing to follow a better pricing model as well. Not all games are built the same, but an arbitrary $60 no matter what it is, how well made it is, how much dev time was put into it, and how much it has to offer is a bone-headed way of conducting business. Not all cuts of steak cost the same, but by their thinking if it all come from the same animals than even the poorest cuts should cost as much as the best.
