Who said it was being completely redone??? From what I've seen it looks exactly the same as all the other ports.

Alx1231

ubisoft has said theyre redoing the graphics and making it more playable. the screenshots they showed off were actually of the dreamcast version and not true to the final 3ds build. however, the fact that they havent shown off any screenshots makes me worried that it might not be ready for launch.

First off, I dont mind dishing out 40 bucks for ssf4 or doa or any of the other games

Second of all, I didnt even know Rayman was one of the launch titles *checks Nintendo.com (the american one)* yep, its not on their launch list.

Are you referring to the launch of the 3DS in Europe or somewhere else? because I honestly didnt know that Rayman was a launch title. Or do you mean launch Window?

Gamingclone

first, the post wasnt a slight to the price of the games. just some of the games that are coming out.

second, rayman 3ds is a launch title as confirmed by the developer ubisoft. never trust nintendo's website; they update it very rarely and omit a ton of information. every major site has confirmed it as a launch title in america.

So it's probably the most ported game of the last decade (ps1, ps2, dreamcast, n64, original ds, ipod) but this one's being completely redone. It's one of the best platformers in the last ten years, and it's being built off the vastly superior Dreamcast version. If you're not into fighters, it's looking like it might be the best game to get at launch... unless of course you want to dish out 40$ for Pilotwings or Steel Diver.

Does anyone know if APB is going to have some kind of fees to play it? Seeing that its MMO, I would imagine so, but I can't seem to find anything regarding this. Some clarification would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I work at Gamestop. Those release dates are rough estimations from when Nintendo said the wanted the new Zelda game to come out in November. Don't take anything Gamestop lists as the first or last of any month seriously. Like Crysis 2 is listed as 12/31 because we don't know when the games coming out.

The November Zelda release date means nothing. I felt like I had to bold that because even now, some people won't understand and still think a Zelda games coming out in November. I repeat, it's not.

The more I think about it, the more it seems like the new Zelda game is going to be set up in a level to level sort of fashion. They said years ago they wanted to change up the dungeon-field-dungeon gameplay element, and it seems like they've found their angle with the new Sky Loft hub wor.... err city. They've stated that Link would be travelling back and forth between worlds, seeming all too likely that the Sky Loft will be the hub world where you buy items, refuel, run around, etc, and there will be a jump off point that takes you to the dungeons.

Pardon my French, but this idea can F*@# right off.

If Nintendo does this, it's going to rob the game of its unique personality, and make it just another action game. My absolute favorite parts of Zelda games is exploring the open world and discovering the flavor each new locale brings. Let's face it, the gameplay formula's pretty old, regardless of the new shiny Wii controls. It's still the same old Zelda. So what do we play it for? The unparalleled attention to its atmosphere and narrative, which can really only be realized in its open, expansive world. It's what makes Hyrule feel alive. If Sky Loft gives me a fast travel option that would be swell when I'm trying to get sh*t done, but I still want the option to ride Epona across the whole world just for the joy of it.

I agree. I was hoping for a 3d platformer. I just think that they have more to offer in overall playability, but as long as it's two player I'm buying it.

I hope you all join me in saying, "holy eff Nintendo, where the hell have you been the last three years?"

Before the conference I was telling a friend that if I didn't get three solid reasons why I bought a Wii, I was going to sell it, new Zelda game be damned. Boy was I surprised.

What was your favorite game shown today?

My bias and childhood love of the game forces me to say Zelda... just because its Zelda.

So I just bought a TB hard drive, but I still have a SATA 500GB as well. I only have one open SATA slot and I was wondering if theres anyway I could get a split cable and plug both hard drives into the same port. Any help would be appreciated.
