The more I think about it, the more it seems like the new Zelda game is going to be set up in a level to level sort of fashion. They said years ago they wanted to change up the dungeon-field-dungeon gameplay element, and it seems like they've found their angle with the new Sky Loft hub wor.... err city. They've stated that Link would be travelling back and forth between worlds, seeming all too likely that the Sky Loft will be the hub world where you buy items, refuel, run around, etc, and there will be a jump off point that takes you to the dungeons.
Pardon my French, but this idea can F*@# right off.
If Nintendo does this, it's going to rob the game of its unique personality, and make it just another action game. My absolute favorite parts of Zelda games is exploring the open world and discovering the flavor each new locale brings. Let's face it, the gameplay formula's pretty old, regardless of the new shiny Wii controls. It's still the same old Zelda. So what do we play it for? The unparalleled attention to its atmosphere and narrative, which can really only be realized in its open, expansive world. It's what makes Hyrule feel alive. If Sky Loft gives me a fast travel option that would be swell when I'm trying to get sh*t done, but I still want the option to ride Epona across the whole world just for the joy of it.
