Very smart decision. This is one of the biggest reasons why I find the PS4 more appealing than the Xbox One (game preferences aside), now that they've reversed their position on DRM and those other issues. Also, the $100 difference will surely win over quite a few consumers when they decide which console to get.

I'm going to need to see/hear more about this game. It has an interesting enough setting, and I can see it being a great game, but right now I know too little about it to get that excited.

I'll admit, violent videogames MAY affect some mentally unstable people, but let's be honest... Violence would still be happening without videogames, without rock music, without TV/movies/books that have strong violence, and a number of other things that people have claimed over the years to contribute to the world's downfall. Either way, the violence is out there, and will be reported on the news, and THAT violence can influence others as well. What next? They'll try to suppress the news' rights to report murders, rapes, and stuff like that? Even then, there's always word-of-mouth, so will try try to make it illegal to talk about these things?

These crimes are horrible, and I can understand why people want to prevent these things any way they can, but I don't think this is the way they should go about it. Most of the time, you have to cut it out at the root. Is the person a mentally unstable person, potentially prone to violence? Then they need to get help BEFORE they do something horrible. Are the parents themselves horrible parents, who physically beat their children? Then something needs to be done with that. Parents who neglect their children need to step up and do a better job. There are a number of other possible elements that push these acts of violence forward which could be handled before-hand.

Meanwhile, there are a lot of better things for the government to be dealing with. Fix the economy and pay off their debts. Deal with the "War on Terror." And for God's sake... STOP SPYING ON US! But sadly, I doubt this will be the last we hear of this kind of thing...

@surferosh Isn't Team Ico a Japanese company? If so, maybe we'll see something about it at Tokyo Game Show.

Pretty much what I expected. Even though I'm interested in a decent amount of games that are already announced, there is still room to expand on their game library, and they have a few months to do it. No self-respecting company would lay all their cards out on the table this early, and risk the hype dying down and their competitors gaining ground on them. They're fighting a war here, and they're in it to win.

@Monsta1217 @Hungry_Homer111 Plus, unless Sony changes it after the PS4 is released, PS+ costs $10 less per year, and is handled a lot better. It is smart about what is and isn't put behind the paywall (you don't need it for streaming services like Netflix, or Free-to-play and MMO games unless the devs for those games decide otherwise).

Yes it is. That $100 price difference is going to alienate informed gamers, who know that the PS4 has a lot of the same features as the Xbox One and is even more powerful in some ways, as well as uniformed consumers, who will most likely take one look at the $100 price difference and get a PS4. Of course you could say that the price is due to the fact that it includes Kinect, but that really should be optional.

I had a feeling this would happen once I remembered all of his issues with Microsoft during the first Fez's release, plus their stance on indie devs. Either way, I just hope it's released on a console I own, or will own. I'm definitely interested in seeing what he does with the sequel.
