@-HaloHitman- The way I'm thinking about it is that GTA5 is the big game to officially close out this gen (I do plan to get more current-gen games afterwards, but nothing as big or exciting as GTA5, and most of them have been released already). I'm still very excited about next-gen consoles, but my hype won't reach its maximum level until after I beat GTA5.

I'm glad they're going to be showing off the gameplay. Though, I'm curious to see what exactly they'll be showing off. If it's a mission, I don't think I'll be watching it. I hope it will be a random gameplay video, showing off some of the game mechanics, and a bit of the world, while leaving a lot for us to discover on our own.

It matters when it costs $100 more than the competition.

@whatshannenin @valknight @Hungry_Homer111 Yes, exactly. Preference. I will admit, I can understand people who may like the aspects that Xbox One brings that PS4 doesn't, and to those people it would be worth it. However, to myself, and from the sound of it a lot of people, those extra features aren't really worth the price of admission. So it's not so much that I'm cheap, like valknight suggested, but rather that I would prefer to spend that extra $100 on either something more practical, or for games/PS+.

@valknight @Hungry_Homer111 Why should I pay more for a system that pretty much does the same things as the PS4, minus Kinect (which I don't give a shit about), fewer benefits for its online pay service (which costs $10 less than XBL Gold)? Also, while subjective, the PS exclusives appeal to me more than the Xbox exclusives, though there are admittedly a few good looking Xbox exclusives.

@valknight @Hungry_Homer111 You can get PS+, which gives you about a dozen games right off the bat, and more each month, and have $50 left over.

"The price is right"

For PS4? Hell yeah!
For Xbox One? Hell no!

I'll admit, I wasn't really thrilled when they announced that they were going to charge for online gameplay. I have an Xbox 360, but I have never bought XBL Gold, because I didn't think it was worth the money. However, after reading into what PS+ has to offer, I am actually excited to get it. Not only do they handle the service better in terms of what should and shouldn't be restricted to it than XBL Gold does, it also offers more benefits, especially thanks to Instant Game Collection.

Also, I'm very excited to see how devs handle online integration in their next-gen games. DriveClub and The Division already look like two games that are really pushing this aspect.

@Alucard_Prime No matter what their reasons are, or how they came to the decisions that they did, the simple fact is that they did come to those decisions. You call it sitting back and following Microsoft's lead, I call it smart business practices which, for one reason or another, do take into account the desires of their consumers. And *that* is why I applaud Sony's business practices over Microsoft's "Deal with it" approach (despite their decision to go back on DRM and stuff like that, which I do commend).
