Currently installing, curse you slow internet!

I do hope that Sigma hits on Phi, even though it seems like the canon pairing is Diana and Sigma. It wouldn't be so creepy now as Sigma has his youthful appearance, but they would both have memories of VLR.

*Edit*

Oh, wow.... that troll opening. Imagine someone who doesn't understand these games have a million endings and paths, haha.

I guess I'll need to play my placement matches. It's always hard to judge the outcome with random teammates, but I'm curious to see if the things I heard about (like showing if it's a pre-made team) will work going forward?

*Edit*

Does it take your personal stats into account more than anything? I've done 8/10 placement matches and it's a 4-4 split so far, with a lot of close games. Other than a few bad halves of a match, I've been mainly getting the most eliminations, damage, and objective time for my team (so usually 3 gold medals on average most matches). Just curious if I end up 5-5 or 4-6 for my matches if that weighs heavier? I tried asking a few people, but they weren't entirely sure (who already had a 1-100 rank).

I also hope we get more reward points once we're out of placement matches. 1 per win is harsh when a single gold gun is 300.

I saw it's already out on PSN store for Vita too. Didn't get it though. :/ I love anime games and all the but this doesn't look like a game you actually play. On the other hand, SpikeChunsoft did do Danganronpa so it can't be too bad, right? I dunno. Might just wait on a sale.

I'm getting it the second it goes up. I'm guessing you might not know about 999 and Virtue's Last Reward? Zero Time Dilemma is the 3rd game in this series and it will have puzzles like the previous games. From what I've seen it will have more a cinematic/movie flow in between puzzles when the story is being told (previous games were text based, save for the rare and short cinematic).

I'll be getting it as soon as it is live on Steam tomorrow. I love this series and am willing to pay 100% to give what I can towards the developers. Just wish the kerfuffle with the physical pre-orders didn't happen.

Not pretty either way you look at it. I understand that accidents happen, but someone needs to step up and be transparent. The consumers are the ones who suffer in the end from all the corporate bickering/blame game, as we have put our money down (some of us a year ago) and are being told different things.

Amazon still says not shipped :(.

Looks like I'll be going to bed at a decent time today, probably even early. That way I can be up for when it goes live tomorrow (on Steam). I did end up getting some days off in the end which is awesome - I'll probably be playing it as much as possible the next 3-4 days. I'm going to do my best and try not to "cheat" by looking up solutions when I'm stuck. Hoping that I don't keep getting dead ends due to taking the "wrong paths" first.

Briefly looked at the achievements on a PSN tracking site. Good to see most are storyline related or for obtaining all the scenes, etc.

Some updates::

  • The game has an 88 on OpenCritic, and a 93 on Metacritic
  • The Watch Edition of the game appears to be delayed, and will ship later
  • Here is my review of Zero Time Dilemma. I enjoyed it. The review is almost entirely spoiler free, but has some basic details on plot setup and structure- nothing that wasn't known from the pre release information already, however. Nonetheless, if you wish to go into the game blind, you definitely should not read it.

I don't want anything spoiled beyond what they've given us in trailers, etc........ but how do you rank the three games?

Really sucks about the watches, but seems like a lot of people who ordered through Amazon have been left in the dark otherwise. Still no ETA's on the game portion which is suppose to come first and the watches later.

I'll probably hold onto 1 of them. Considering not opening one of them and holding onto it for awhile.

When do preorders usually ship?

In terms of Amazon, I have got my pre-orders either on release day or within a few days of release. The thing that is concerning is that the weekend is coming up, release date is Tuesday/Wednesday next week (Handheld vs Steam), and it seems no one has received confirmation that their games are even being boxed up/prepared. Cue mass panic and chaos.

That and the Steam version looks like we won't be able to purchase it until release date. Not sure what the point of advertising early purchase bonuses was when they don't let people buy it before release date. Herp derp.

It makes sense, but it's interesting that the summary for the 80 calls it the weakest in the series and the 95-100's say it's a new standard for Visual Novels and storytelling. I didn't read any of the full reviews because I'm trying to avoid as much as possible.

At this point I just assume Amazon gave away my Collector's Editions to some shit that placed an order a year after me. I'm pretty sure I placed my order within the first 24 hours it went up on Amazon.com . Hell, it didn't show up on Amazon.ca for ages so I figured I was set. Still no updates, but assuming Amazon has failed me means I will be happier when it arrives..... if it arrives *breaks down*.
