If my girlfriend or any girl came at me with a knife or something to harm me with, I would still not hit her...I would try and restrain her...but never hit her...meaning I would grab her arms or something to hold her back or "restrain". So I started medic school last week and one of the local firefighters that is a evaluator asked us how we would handle this scenario. Long story short...comes to me and tells me "A, Abstract thinker...and laughs." I wasn't sure how to take this. My answer was way off to what the others in my group were giving. We were just going over scenarios and how would we handle them. Just curious, because I have been very perplexed how to take this response when he mentioned that. I know what Abstract means, but can it been taken offensively?
If she is going to quit anyways, then let her find another job and don't bother with a 2 weeks notice, the next place she works for I am sure they will ask, just be honest and I am sure they will understand. If you can't afford her not to work providing your working as well....Then offer to work a second job on top of your full time job while she reestablishes herself. I just find it odd that she left to go work at the restaurant he is working at, despite of what you said in your initial post. If she is worth fighting for make the effort to make this change.
