@VeeArSick Again, perhaps they were giving them too much credit and hoping the 'you catch more flies with honey than vinegar' approach at first, which is admirable. Unfortunately when you are talking about the sort of post-lobotomy genius that trolls on this site it appears they were aiming way too high.
@eze_sl89 Probably true but that doesn't mean that it wasn't an honorable intention, maybe the makers just gave the trolls too much credit by thinking they could be shamed?
@zyxe I guess all we can do is hope that with these new initiatives that a show like Feedbackula can actually feature opposing arguments without the nastiness.
@eze_sl89 I think shining a light on the morons who post the sort of abuse you are talking about is not just ok, it's necessary. People should be called to account for their actions. The whole point of Feedbackula is to show them up.
@eze_sl89 There is nothing wrong with promoting open discourse from opposing sides of an argument. There is a lot wrong with that argument descending into name-calling and swearing.
Wonderful news, I just hope it helps get rid of the foul-mouthed, illiterate, angry trolls who do nothing but abuse what they don't like. This is the last chance saloon for me, I've really gotten tired of reading 'Xbox is ****' or 'PS4 is ****' or 'PC gamers are ****' etc. A decent discussion would be nice but people just seem to have so much anger these days.
@avalanche814 He didn't attack anyone personally. He showed the ridiculous comments that people posted and called them what they are. The people who offered measured counter opinions he said were entitled to their opinions also. Where's the attack?
There is no place in this world generally for vitriol and hate. There is no need for it and it only shows a lack of intelligence and ability to formulate a coherent counter-argument. Who exactly does it benefit to spew hate and bad language at somebody who is simply doing her job?
