@Xmus942 As I just posted for someone else, I'm too lazy to change it from when I used to be on this site.

@liquorun I haven't actually used this site in several years, and I'm too lazy to change my avatar icon. Either way, how is that any different from having an avatar icon from Halo or Doctor Who or some other TV show/video game?

@terroroftalos This sounds like Sonic06 all over again, only without knowing about the negativity ahead of time.

@Tiwill44 I found the SpongeBob games on GameCube to be good, and they got good scores as well.

"Combat is a repetitive affair of hitting the Y button over and over again until everyone is dead."
This, I kinda agree with. Though I switched it up by doing Sonic's homing attack once I found out it was still in the game.

"a broken camera system"
I almost stopped reading here. Sure, the camera's not the greatest, but it's far from broken. It's probably even more manageable than most 3D Sonic games because it never gets stuck on anything.

"The precision platforming segments are relatively basic matters of timing, but I fell to my death more times than I can count simply due to sloppy and unresponsive controls."
Or the sloppy player. There aren't many "precision platforming segments", and the only way you could've kept dying is if your reaction time is crap.

"The frame rate chugs to unacceptable levels"
Maybe it's because I wasn't playing with a second player, but this almost never happened in those sections. A few areas where the game had to load new textures for an upcoming location, yes, and only for a second.

"I clipped through a number of environments."
The only way this could possibly happen is if you're intentionally slamming yourself into every wall in the game. I fell through a platform ONCE on my initial playthrough.

"The game also completely crashed my Wii U, forcing a hard restart of my system and, once again, the repetition of a good 30 minutes of the game."
This hasn't happened to me, but a few other games have. It could be a Wii U issue.

I agree this isn't the best Sonic game, but a ****ing 2?! Even if I didn't like Sonic06, there's no way this one is worse than THAT.

...and Sonic the Hedgehog Genesis got a 2.5. Something's terrible, but it's not this game.

@Master_Turismo For features, yes. To me, the 360 version's better because it has a crafting system that doesn't require the Wiki in order to make stuff (until you memorize everything).

I know there's a mod that makes the PC version's crafting interface like the 360's, but it hasn't been updated for 1.6 and the 360 never has that type of problem.
